If you go there with a lot of people, they make a much more effort to entertain you. Also depends which chef you get. I went there twice and found one chef was much more skilled and entertaining than the other.
I think this place has become quite tired. The kitchen staff seemed quite bored. The food was good although we certainly didn't leave feeling full. The decor is looking very much the worse for wear and I doubt we would be going back again in a hurry.
I went with a bunch of friends and it was entertaining for them to see the cooking performance. We had the cheapest teppanyaki and most of us at the end of it felt hungry but almost full.
It's just a small place, almost claustrophobic and when I rang up about the different prices for the different teppanyaki's they had, I wasn't told clearly what the options were. Would come back to spend on a higher costing show!!
The chef here was really talented and friendly, went here for my boyfriends birthday. The chef was quiet but very interactive and had a smile on his face when we were doing the tricks. They are very generous with their servings here, and the staff are very friendly. I go here regularly for their beautiful tempura prawns and sashimi. The place looks a bit shabby, but if you're there for the food you won't notice all the business cards on the wall!
Went with a relatively big group, had a booking for 8 pm, got there early and although we were re-assured that it would only be a "15 minutes wait" we were made to wait for ages!! (Not Happy since we were all starving by then!) However, we received free drinks for the wait (after we told them we were leaving). Despite the bad start, the rest of the experience was pretty good.
As mentioned in other reviews, the Chef's are really talented, the Chef we had had been working there for 20 years, and really get you into the mood of things. Food was ok, not that filling, but Chef made it fun for everyone. Good fun for birthday's/big group of people.
We went there because my aunt came from overseas. All the others had heard about teppanyaki before and were afraid of what happens. The food was great, the service was great and what a memorable night it was. It is great entertainment. The chef was awesome. You come out feeling really full.
**As long as an easy-going (not afraid to get dirty) crowd goes, you'll have a blast!!**
This place is not too bad, the cooks get you in to the mood with throwing food at you like most other places. The food is good and the menus are customizable.
I went there for a work dinner and drinks. Had a great time and the food was great. Worked out about $50 a head with the drinks and food (not too bad).
