I've just come back from this restaurant and my friend and I really enjoyed the meals. We were using a voucher but that didn't matter to the staff at all. They were so attentive and friendly. The restaurant got quite busy but they still had time to attend to all their customers. Highly recommended as this place not only has great food but also fantastic service.

The food here is absolutely delicious, it could not be faulted. Everyone loved the Thai tapas entrees plus the lamb shank massaman curry was delectable and melted in your mouth. Other notable stand outs were the Thai beef salad and the barramundi fillet with green mango salad.
The staff were all friendly and helpful too. As we had private function for 20+ in one of the private areas they have there, Jane ensured that we were well looked after, customising the menu to our needs. It isn't the cheapest Thai around but is by far one of the best. Looking forward to going back again soon!
We have just returned (April 2012) to use a Spreets voucher, which I couldn't resist buying since the food there is so good! I was not disappointed - the food was every bit as delicious as I remember and the service was friendly and efficient.
The menu choice was more limited as we had the voucher, however, all choices were fantastic. We had the most delectable prawns with chilli and cashews (the best prawns ever, according to my very fussy partner!), as well as the most delicious panang lamb - divine! The Thai tapas we had for entree were also beautiful. Highly recommended.

We used some vouchers and between the 6 of us we were able to try three different entrees and three mains. The vegetarian rice paper rolls were very nice, the crispy polenta tartlets and the fresh oysters were absolutely delicious.
Of the mains offered the chicken pad thai and the crispy prawn with cashew nuts were nice, although I prefer stronger flavours. My favourite of the mains was the lamb shoulder in Panang curry - yum!
I would like to go again, maybe for a special occasion. I think the vouchers are good value for money. If we didn't have them, I'd think twice before spending $26 on pad thai.

Went here to do the usual entree and main bit, but the tapas menu was so interesting we never got past that, and many of the tapas we went back for twice. Lovely old house with a nice ambience, only knocked one point thanks to a rowdy table nearby. Can't stand people who think their enjoyment is paramount and overrides anyone else's right to a nice night out.
Sadly, not enough restaurants are game to ask a table to cool it a bit. Other than this distraction, we had a very enjoyable meal with good service. Definitely the most expensive Thai I've been to but for once I felt we got what we paid for.

My 4th visit. They were very stretched on Feb 14 (Valentine's Day). Mains arrived 2 hours after we arrived (i.e. 9:30pm), which is surprising given we were ordering off a set menu.
The food was pretty good overall. Oysters were great as were the betel leaf entrees (complimentary because of the delays).
Value below average - $65 per head covering entree (2 Sydney rock oysters), mains (scampi wok tossed with chilli, sea salt and crushed black pepper), and dessert (steamed banana pudding with sauce and ice cream).
So overall slightly disappointing but I will give it another go, perhaps, in a year.

The entrees were incredible. I loved how they came out served on a betel leaf. The flavour were complex and so exotic. The mains were just as exquisite, as we were a table of 6 and shared a number of mains. Certainly one of the better Thai restaurants out there in Sydney.

Great food, service and ambience, just a little pricey for what you get. Will be back.

We were very disappointed with this restaurant, we like fusion food generally, but Nu's food was very uninspiring, perhaps, we just chose the wrong dishes. The tapas prawn 'pancake' was very oily and there was precious little prawn (could have been seafood extender for all we could tell).
The mains were prawn omlette (my husband found 2 tiny prawns, I didn't detect any) was bland and the chicken dish was very ordinary and the chicken quite tough. We thought the prices were ridiculously high for what was offered and can't understand how so many people rave about the place! We certainly won't be back.

The ambience is excellent. A little too dark, perhaps, and we needed the help of an outside street lamp to read the menu. Note to self - always bring a torch to these trendy restaurants with dark lighting and 6 point font menus.
The flavours were excellent and varied. The spiciness was never overpowering in the dishes we selected. Delightfully piquant is, perhaps, a better explanation.
The entree of betel leaf, pork belly and quail egg was excellent. The prawns in tamarind sauce was my overall pick, and the prawns were just so fresh. On the down side the salt and pepper squid was mainly a plate of chopped onion. Very few pieces of squid. The tamarind prawns were king prawns but only four prawns for a main? The waygu beef curry was massaman flavour and very nice but $42?
The wine list is very small and even then some popular selections had run out. The focus was on sweet fruity aromatic wines that perfectly complimented the spicy food.
Overall, tasty but way too expensive! $540 for four that included entree main and dessert with wine.
