The best breakfast in Cronulla by far. I would rather pay a bit extra for this location, service and food. The Nun's Breakfast is divine, the coffee always perfect, and service super friendly.
Went here once for breakfast and the food was nice. It's good how it overlooks Shelly beach with its ocean view. Quick service was given by the friendly and helpful staff. The prices were not bad.
The coffee was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, we didn't get to taste a meal because they stop serving at such an early hour (not sure when that was, but they wouldn't serve us lunch at 2 pm). They are open till 4 pm, so we thought that was the most disappointing feature. We did share a boring muffin though. Another table came in after us and we were able to talk them into serving them a cheese platter, though we were told we could only have a muffin or a cookie.
Great place for breakfast on a sunny day. Book ahead though as it can be hard to get in. Food is great but a bit expensive. But I guess if you want to enjoy the fantastic location with an equally fantastic looking venue, you have to pay. Can't wait to go back.
Cute little place with prompt service, great views and modern cafe brunch style food. Went there on a sunny mid-morning, all aspects of the experience was well, worth the trip.
Had breakfast here this morning with a group of friends for a birthday. Venue is fantastic - the beach is across the road and the fitout is great. The portion size is not huge but the food is better than normal cafe food. Value not so good - $35 per head. Won't be doing this too often but good for a special occasion.
Wonderful venue and beautifully presented surroundings. The food is good but not fantastic, it's normal cafe fair. Been about 4 times so as you can tell worth returning to just for the venue. Staff service is a bit hit and miss - depends on the waiter/ress on the day. Head waiter is quite good and attentive to arrivals.
This place has such great potential because of its ambient interior and location but lacks in so many ways its unfortunate. They have a lot to answer for. The first thing that strikes you is the grand attitude towards the paying customer and lack of service and knowledge of the menu. As a local I expected the relaxed attitude that the Cronulla lifestyle provides. Instead I got a rude dose of unreasonable service.
Perhaps if they paid more attention to detail, especially to the customer, they would earn a local's respect. Otherwise, they should probably stick to doing wedding receptions which seems to be where their interests now lie, as it must be a great money making exercise for them. Definitely overpriced and overrated!!! Beware!
Came here for the first time for brunch and quite busy even for a weekday. Atmosphere and decor was lovely, and staff are very pleasant and accommodating with prams. Menu, however, lacked variety (mainly seafood), and when my meal came out I nearly died!
The portion size was tiny! My friend ordered a main and got two extra pieces on her dish and paid ten dollars more having had the same meal! Way too overpriced, even if it is considered "fine dining". Might give breakfast a go, hopefully portion size is a little bigger so you're not left feeling famished!
