Stepped in midweek for a pub dinner with Lil Neecy and her country-gal pal, from Melbourne who was staying nearby. Pretty average dishes served up in a plain old style bistro atmosphere. Perhaps, one could describe it as lunch-style meals served up for dinner. Really doesn't compare with most of the quality pubs in the East where you could pay as much but receive a higher variety and quality in the meals on offer. We dropped in only because of convenience but I'm sure the locals luv it.

The service is good here. The drinks are not the cheapest but the beer is fresh. The food is great. Good TAB area. Its a bit rough and ready. Very blue collar.

This is one of my locals, and my partner and I love to come here on Members Night (Mondays and Thursdays) when the meals are 2 for 1 and there is a badge draw (membership cost next to nothing, and we re-couped the cost in the 2 for 1 dinner offer anyway). The food isn't great for the weight-conscious (there's not a salad in sight!) but they have a great lamb curry and a yummy Guiness pie with mushy pease and gravy. My partner loves the schnitzel.

Good, heart pub food in an old 'workman's' style atmosphere. Great vibe too with a mix of families, young ppl like me and oldies. Always find the bar people friendly. The food staff (taking orders) need a bit of training, though.

It's a traditional pub, but with big picture windows looking towards North Sydney Oval. The food is better than you'd expect, especially if you try the good quality steaks, Schnitzels and good old bangers and mash with onion gravy. Great for lunch, or a quick, inexpensive nosh with a fine glass of cold beer.

Been here a few times, good food that is reasonably priced, beer is good and staff are very friendly. Also good TAB facilites.

Pretty average local pub with overpriced food. Friendly staff, lacking professionalism. Last night I ordered a steak, it came out undercooked so I sent it back. Half an hour later I was still waiting for it to come back. I left the place without having a meal, very disappointing especially because it was a quiet Tuesday night, with 10 customers (max!) dining.

The North Sydney Hotel has good, solid service with tasty and reasonably priced food, and more recently has been updated quite effectively making it a good choice for a casual night out.
