Came here for the first time a few days ago and was quite surprised by the decor for an aussie pub. Really liked the atmosphere and all the bits and pieces on the wall and at the bar. Food was flavoursome and generous portions, which is what you expect from pub food, although nothing out of the ordinary. Cool place to hang out with friends and for a lazy sunday afternoon.

Bar menu was more appealing than the main menu. Had a selection of those and overall was pretty good. Didn't take too long to come either. Good place to eat before going across the road to 505 Jazz place.

Pretty noisy so hard to have a good conversation. Tables weren't the cleanest either.

I think I may have a slight obsession with beer gardens, and this rates highly in my list of Sydney's best! This may be the reason I keep returning to this pub. The food - not too bad, tacos are tasty and the Thursday $12 ribs were easily demolished however it isn't the food I come here for. A school night catch up with friends over jugs of drink sitting out in the courtyard - what a better way to spend the night. Some reviewers have mentioned the bar staff - have not experienced fault with any of them to date. I must agree with some though on how busy this place gets - get there early to grab a table.

I love the refurb of this place, the courtyard is a very pleasant place to spend a few hours (although upstairs is a bit like sitting in an empty bistro... it has a weird vibe) but the drinks are expensive and the food is terrible. I live nearby so I've given it a couple of runs but the last straw was barely being able to finish a plate of the Thursday special (which is $12 ribs). You could see everyone at our table grimacing their way through them.

I'll definitely be back here to play the board games they have on the bar (Who cares if half the pieces are missing? Make it work!) and drink a few ciders but the food is no longer on my to-do list.

Went for lunch with a few mates, been here a few times and the service never gets any better, guys you need to get over yourselves, yes its a nice bar and really considered, but service is horrible.

Fantastic chips and tacos are fantastic, I love the food here and would just love it if the guys behind the bar got some customer service skills.

I like the Norfolk for a lot of reasons (great bars food, Taco Tuesdays, the bloody marys), but nothing says love quite like a tequila happy hour. Fridays 6-8 pm will get you $5 tequila shots or a mean $10 margarita.

Went there on for a quick bite last Saturday, at first my boyfriend wasn't too keen on having bar food but when he took a bite of that chicken taco these were his exact words "best taco I've had in my life!!" and then he took a bite of my pie and said "Wow! Even the pastry is good! And I thought Harry's had good pies!"

The food totally exceeded our expectation, they have a quite unique menu and bar snacks. We'll definitely return with friends!

Went on a Monday night, good bar snacks, really enjoyed the deep fried pickles, basically gherkins in a very light tempura-style batter! The tacos were soft and light with a delicious spicy filling, the mixed veg were definitely my favourite, mushrooms, toasted almond, and a pico de gallo thing going on. Nice wine list and good general vibe. I only found this place as it is next door to Nourishing Quarter, tiny vegetarian place well worth a visit!

Very happy with the revamp done to The Norfolk. A great space. I can't wait for warmer weather to sit in the beer garden but doubt we'll have much luck getting a space. Drinks are priced Ok and the service was friendly. Food was reasonably priced but not on the healthy side of things. We are looking forward to heading back again.

This has definitely become cool central with the skinny-jeaned surry hills crowd, but for good reason. Nice fitout of the main pub area, and great food.

I've eaten here twice, and rate the tacos, especially on $3 taco night. I thought the beef tacos were the best of the bunch, but they are all good. Potato skins and hot dogs sliders aren't for those pre-disposed to heart attacks and weren't as tasty, but the menu is well priced and has lots of choice. Drinks are a bit overpriced, but you expect that at a place like this.

My main gripes are how crowded it always is, and sometimes the attitude of the staff, some of whom seem to think that they are god's gift to the world because they work at a cool pub. They need to double their work rate and smile every now and then, and the place would be cracking.
