First review I've ever written online - and Nody's is the only reason that compelled me to start. Let's get the bad out of the way first - to the discerning foodie, part of 'ambiance' may include decor. But while Nody's may appear a little tattered at the seams, the atmosphere is lifted to lofty heights thanks to some of the friendliest service we've ever had. And that's about the nastiest thing I can say about the place.

We've eaten in many restaurants, in many countries, and can honestly say service doesn't get better. These are some people who have somehow managed to hold onto that almost bygone mantra that the customer is king. We're most often served by the lady waitress, and occasionally by the chef - neither of whom I have never seen without a smile. Of the many times we've been there, whether they are quiet or maddeningly busy - someone has always checked if we're happy with the food.

Which brings me to the next point - this is some seriously tasty Indian food, with influences from all corners. We often indulge in the banquet which comes with four curries, entrees, sides and breads. But if we're being specific, my husband loves the butter chicken while I like to test my disposition on the vindaloo. All in all, we've never had a bad experience or been disappointed. If you're less fussed by frills than simple yet satisfying fare and service nonpareil, I would happily recommend Nody's.

Quiet, authentic and friendly place to eat delicious food. I love eating at the restaurant or having home delivery when I am feeling lazy. The food is always good and the staff are always friendly! I have organised a group dinner for about 10 once, and they catered to our needs. Thank you Noddy's rocks my taste buds.

Food and Service were excellent in this quaint family restaurant. I went with my partner and we split a starter and had two mains and the total came to $37! Highly recommend it if you like Indian.

Had dinner here on a Sunday night; it was pretty quiet, however, we got there at 6:30pm and most people would have been drinking at the local pub after the NRL Final. Has the vegetable samosa, buttered chicken, chicken biryani and naan bread. It was all pretty fresh and delivered to our table briskly. Parking is great on Bronte Road too. I enjoyed my first authentic Indian meal here and recommend this place to Indian lovers and newbies like myself.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Sydney. The food served is delicious and very authentic using lots of fresh spices. Great service, very attentive and I always feel like the staff here really enjoy serving the customers.

Had takeaway from here last night. We ordered onion bhajis, chicken balti, fish jalfrezi, garlic naan and rice. Onion bhajis are not what we're used to from the UK. These are more like slightly spiced onion rings. Not unpleasant, just not those jumbled balls of onion and batter we're used to. The chicken balti is really pretty good. This is the second time I've had it and it's very tasty.

They use chicken tikka rather than plain chicken, which is a bit of overkill really as the sauce is already complex. The jalfrezi was a bit of a special for us as we wanted something spicy with white fish, it was Ok, tasty but not a great deal to it. Rice and naan were fine. Delivery times were what they said on the phone (around an hour) and everything was hot enough to eat straight away. Will probably order again as the basics are pretty good. They are exceptionally friendly as well.

Nody's is one of the best kept secrets in sydney. The restaurant is a little hard to spot due to it's black and white sign and uninspiring name. However that is all that can be said to be wrong about this gem! Noddy's serves the best Indian food in Sydney hands down.

Apart from having a great variety of dishes, from different regions of India each dish I have tried has been spot on. The array of spices the head chef infuses each curry with is complex and unlike most of Sydney's Indian fair, can be distinctly discerned. What really blew me away about Noddy's food is his ability to make classic dishes such as lamb korma, butter chicken etc into serious masterpieces. With Noddy's you lose the insipid creamy British spin on these classics and feel the punch and heat of thee curries in their authentic form.

What's more the staff are exceedingly attentive and genial, the chef himself will come out and explain the techniques involved in the different dishes if you stay late.

The final kicker is that the dishes are absurdly cheap- mains range from 13.90 -16.90. I suspect that this gross underpricing is the reason this restaurant has not yet been shot to stardom. Give it a go for a perfect night out!

Highly Recommended! I am absolutely kicking myself for not going to Nody's earlier! This was, without a doubt, the best Indian meal I've had. Shesh Kebab, lamb was succulent. Chicken Korma with steamed rice, the rice was steamed to perfection, by itself it tasted good! The chicken was tender, boneless and the curry was mild and blended perfectly.

The service was warm and attentive, they have a bar with all types of alcohol, BYO wine! A perfect dining experience, excellent value for money.

Being in Melbourne I decided to order some Indian food for my boyfriend who in addition to studying for exams in Sydney was also celebrating his birthday the day before his exams. Following on from Nody's reivews, I thought that this seemed like a reliable restaurant to order from. The assistance I received was absolutely fantastic! in addition to placing the order, they even offered to buy a bday card and print a message from me to go with the food (which they actually didi)!

Never did I expect such friendly warm service. The food had been a hit and I would definitely be recommending Nody's to others. Thanks for the fantastic customer service Nody's team. Keep up the brilliant work!

Great service, very friendly and relaxed, loved it. Nice to get a little semolina dish for free at the end, nice touch, will come again.
