We live in norwest so have been to most restaurants around here and are regulars at Omage. After reading the menu online it sounded fantastic so we thought we'd try it out. When we arrived we were told that actually our reservation was for the night before but they would squeeze us in... Wish we'd turned around then! Anyway I ordered tuna to start and my husband got the hulumi. They both were presented beautifully. The tuna was over cooked and drenched in soy sauce that's all I could taste and the hulumi was rubbery. For main I had crispy belly pork with scollops and my husband had duck breast. Again they looked beautiful. The belly pork was not crispy at all just a chunk of fat on the plate.. There was black pudding which wasn't mentioned on the menu and then this weird pâté which left a awful taste in my mouth. I couldn't eat it. The duck was very fatty and was only three tiny bits. We were still hungry and wanted dessert but decided to call into to Omage after for dessert and coffees. We never complain about food but this was terrible. It cost $155 we wouldn't mind paying $250 for a good meal but this was the biggest waste of money! We will definitely not be back! The chef needs to spend more time on his cooking than presentation. Worst restaurant in norwest!

We recently had dinner at Nobles with friends. We had been there on numerous occasions in the past but had not visited since the Mecure chain had taken it over. We were really looking forward to a fine dining experience but were sadly disappointed.
The food was extremely ordinary and at the high end of what you would expect to pay on a night out. The staff, whilst a bit inexperienced, tried their very best. I think I will sum it up by saying that on asking for bread with my cheese platter I was told that the kitchen staff didn't have any bread suitable, expect for garlic bread! - that gives you an indication of the respect shown for the food.

This is one of my favourite places to dine in the hills district. Good service, lovely ambience, nice food. The trilogy of a good experience.

We joined another couple who had suggested that we try this restaurant for our annual wedding anniversary celebration. Being a special occasion we were not put off by the fairly high pricing of the menu. However, we left after our meal feeling extremely disappointed. While the restaurant room itself was well presented and the table linen, etc. left no room for complaint and the staff were quite attentive and efficient, the quality of the food did not match the prices charged.
The entrees (soup and a small fig tart) were only very average. The steak itself was ok although of quite small size but the accompanying "hand cut" fries were entirely forgettable. The tuna was dry and tasteless and was only made tolerable when the cheese-based sauce that accompanied the steak was used to disguise it. The rack of lamb portions were very small and the best that our companions had to say about them was to refrain from making any comment. After our main course we decided that we had had enough and declined to sample the dessert menu.

This review is for dinner as we overnighted at the hotel.
I ordered a Sticky Pork Belly as a starter and enjoyed the salad much more than the meat. The pork itself was dry and the sticky crackling was inedible. For the main, I ordered a medium rare steak that was dry, as well. There was no pink in the centre of the meat. The steak was served with "hand cut fries" which are not something the restaurant should be proud of. They were oily and would have been limp if they weren't cut thicker than my thumb. The plating was very attractive, though.
Desserts were the only thing that saved dinner as the Passionfruit Creme Brulee and the Strawberry Mille Fuille were lip-smacking delicious. Should I return, I'm sticking with dessert and breakfast.
Service was pleasant but my dry meat complaint was completely ignored. I ordered sparkling water with dinner and the bottle it's served in has a top that is removed in the kitchen with a bottle opener. I really wanted sparkling water and it would have been flat quickly if I didn't cover it with a glass at the table. The glass was removed while I wasn't looking so I had to hijack my husband's glass to recover the bottle.

The food was good although the presentation was average however the combination were good and menu well priced. Service a vast improvement on before, sincere and what you would expect from any top Sydney restaurant. Pleasant as always but in need of aesthetic attention. Will definitely be back

What a disappointment! Ambience is good but the service leaves a lot to be desired and the food overcooked when we went there. Never again.

I have been here numerous times and only once was I a little disappointed with my meal. I ordered kangaroo and it was very tough and a bit overcooked. Luckily it was served with a really nice jus, lovely restaurant, really nice decor, good service. A small bar area, nice for a special occasion and excellent for a winter meal next to their open fire.

We were staying at the hills lodge and our meal was included in the package we had already paid for. The service was wonderful and even though I expected good food it was even better. Now planning on going there at least once a month. I was really happy that the manager especially was so helpful with answering what might be to some 'silly questions' but as it was our first time at the restaurant it was a great help.

Had dinner here after a two day conference. Ambience is great, menu is great, service is unobtrusive but was a tad on the slow side. Food was excellent, and they coped well with our table of 6.
