This is my favourite local cafe. Very friendly service and the most child-friendly cafe I have been to. Toys for the kids, very patient staff and a fantastic kids menu.

I have eaten at this cafe many times, always sitting up the back. On Sunday morning I sat at the front opposite the kitchen and couldn't believe what I saw.
When I went in two women were making breakfasts. They had gloves on. I ordered coffee and started reading my book.
I didn't look up until my breakfast arrived and I soon stopped eating and left.
The butter pot I was given had toast crumbs in it. I watched a lady drop a slice of tomato, scoop it up, put it in the bin and go back to making breakfasts. The other lady had removed her gloves and was serving food with her hands, between taking money. I stopped eating and left. I will not go back.
Seriously watch the weekend kitchen people before you order and judge for yourself.

Staff are very friendly, helpful and allowed us to have our dog out the back even bringing him some water. Even offering to move us when it looked like raining. Service was quick and the food was very tasty.

Is ok but too expensive, the food isn't that good, it doesn't look good and the service wasn't great. Probably won't come back.

No Ordinary Cafe should, perhaps, be 'Nother Ordinary Cafe. Had lunch here. My Chilli Chicken Burger turned out to be Sweet Chilli, so why not identified as this? We had two menus on the table, but they didn't have the same things on them, and some that were the same had different prices, so we really had little idea what to order or what it would cost. My wifes Chicken Fillet burger came with a fillet of chicken, one leaf of lettuce and thats all.
I will say, however, that they do an excellent bowl of hot chips. The room is big, with an air conditioner not powerful enough to handle the room. The coffee is okay but $4.50 for a milkshake is too much. My Ent Card reduced the price and I would eat there again if I had to, but its really just another bland suburban coffee shop.

I haven't had a meal this bad before, clearly the cook does not taste what is served. I ordered "Grilled Mushrooms on rocket with tomatoes" > The mushrooms were big, old and cold, the pathetic tomatoes seemed lightly microwaved, at best, and the cooked, soggy rocket was simply too much. Taste and flavor were sadly lacking in what could have been an inspiring combination. (My seven year old was similarly unimpressed with her meal. The froth on the hot chocolate was NOC's only redeeming feature.)
Just because this cafe caters for children, by providing a toy mat, there is no excuse for selling food that is an insult to care and flavor. I ask the chef to taste what they serve, or at least review what they think passes as presentable. I will not return.

At last somewhere to go with the kids and feel like you are at home. Good to find a local friendly cafe that is just that, busy, fun and value for money. Back to basics. They have found the niche that suits working families in these times who still need to eat out and enjoy. A real find. Kids love the food and so do I.

Came here on a Sunday for brunch with my husband. This place caters for young families (as well as anyone else) so expect some noise from young kids. After all, there are a lot of young families in the area!! It's actually pleasant to have a place where young children in prams are welcome. (Note : if you want to minimise disturbance, sit at the front as the families tend to head towards the back)
Service was a bit slow after we ordered but the cafe was nearly full. But the tea came very quickly and we had to wait about 20 minutes for our food. The waitress did apologise. We ordered the full breakfast, and the servings were generous and tasty. No complaints about the food. The price was reasonable too - certainly comparable with other places on the North Shore and inner west.
Only thing we didn't really enjoy was the tea. When people go out for tea, they expect something better than what you would normally drink at home. This tea was ordinary and there was no tag on the tea bag to identify brand. Would I come back? Yes.

Came here on a weekday during lunch and it was definitley a mother's club! That wasn't a problem though, not overly noisy or crowded. The menu is indeed pretty ordinary and limited. Don't expect value for money. For the price and location, you'd also expect food with a bit more class. My boyfriend ordered the big breakfast. The bacon was overcooked and the sausages were cold. Presentation was pretty average too.
