My wife and decided to go to Ninja on a Saturday night without making any reservation, fortunately there was a few empty tables available, so it wasn't a problem to find a good spot.

The place was a bit quiet but comfortable, ideal for couples or small groups, the service was friendly and very attentive at all times.

There are not many choices in the mains menu, if you want to try dishes other than tempura or sushi, we tried miso soup, the japanese style steak and the chicken teriyaki.

The food was well presented and arrived without major delays, unfortunately it didn't taste great, food was just above the average, a little bit disappointing because we had high expectations on this restaurant after reading the reviews. I might not come back.

Ninja is a quality Japanese restraunt that just happens to be in St Ives. The food served here is equal to that served in some of the big reputation city japanese eateries. Which is fanatastic for the locals. Indoor/Outdoor dining... innovative menu... which extends beyond your typical. have been a few times now and very consistant.

Luckily we were not in any hurry as the service was soooo slow. It was Friday night and fortunately we had reserved a table as it was packed, but the staff were very friendly. The food was good, recommend the fried eggplant and Kara-age Chicken. Recommended!

We had a wonderful Thurs night here. We were served by two demure Japanese lasses whilst listening to light traditional japanese music. Started with steamed Edamame, fried eggplant and vegetable tempura. Followed with dishes Sliced Wagyu, Kara-age Chicken which was so succulent and Tonkatsu Korabuta Pork. The food was delicious and for a small suburban eatery I really couldn't fault them. Already planning our next visit.

The service was great, very polite and friendly. Quality food, try the eggplant with miso, very nice.

Good value and authentic Japanese food in a comfortable setting with friendly service. A bit quiet but that's more of a plus. Must try the Salmon Tataki, succulent and tender. Haven't tried this restaurant's parent restaurant in Avalon but this St Ives one deserves the same high ratings.
