On this site you need to be really wary of placing any credence in the 'stitch-up' reviewers popping up for the first time & never to review again, almost always with an nasty little axe to grind or alternatively, a glowing, wonderous 5 star review.

Whichever way, the reviews for this place seem to be skewed, which is a shame because I think Ninety has a lot of potential and shouldn't be dismissed. The service was a highlight, really nice, friendly & efficient.

On to the food- we shared a mezze plate as an entree which was a cracker. Haloumi, mince triangles, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, dolmades, pasties, three dips and a stack of toasts, bread stick and flat bread. Enjoyable. The mains, we had the 250gm wagyu and the king prawn tomato-based risotto. The risotto was a hummungous serve, enough to feed two, with a heap of prawns but a touch plain- just missing that little something. But hey, they used Arborio rice and we waited long enough to assume that it was cooked via reduction and on our request.

The 250gm wagyu was more like 100 grams, garnished with some micro-herbs and served on a huge bowl-plate with enough chips underneath to feed a thousand seagulls. I asked for medium rare, and got medium to well. To close we had a dessert share plate, with a wonderful pannacotta, and espresso laden tiramasu and two flavours of ice cream, superbly presented. I think we could well give them one more try but we would choose differently for our main meals.

Just came back from an awful dinner with a group of cousins. Food was Terrible! The three who ordered chicken mains all had to send their dishes back to the kitchen, two for being cold, and the third was a schnitzel that was Raw. I mean bright pink! I have Never seen that. But worse was that they brought back the same piece back covered in gravy. The same piece of chicken!

The others who ordered the pasta all said it was tasteless. Such a shame that our night became about the disappointing food, rather than being able to catch up with our cousins, which was what the night was supposed to be about. When we finally got the opportunity to chat we were asked to settle the bill as they were closing up. So to sum up, Too pricey for disappointing food! Do not even try it.

Service was non existent. We had to get up twice to order drinks. we also had to call a server to our table to order. It wasn't busy and there was plenty of staff wandering around doing I don't know what!

Food took a really long time to come out and when it did it was plain and boring.
We took our own cake which they charged us per head. They didn't ask us how many slices we wanted. Not everyone was eating cake including my 1 1/2yr old nephew. Totally ridiculous to charge $30.

Need to stress how poor the service was. Totally incompetent! Will not go back.
Do not recommend this place at all.

Went here with 3 friends last Thursday night. The place is BYO wine but there's a nice selection of wines available if you forget. They had a wide range of dishes, we started with the prawn entree, I had the lamb shoulder, my wife had the beef special, our friends both had a pizza and we all had the sticky date pudding for dessert.

The service whilst being professional wasn't the best I've experienced. But in saying that it was probably the best tasting meal I've had in a while. Will be back again for those flavours and asahi beer served on tap.

I would probably book ahead too, because it was practically full last Thursday night.

The Best pizza in town, the best homemade pizza is available just down the road from my house and I didn’t even know. Don't expect thick oily pizza similar to pizza hut and dominos, rather traditional healthy Italian style pizza, meaning homemade dough, homemade sauce, taste fresh toppings and a tandoori pizza with yoghurt. Great value for money! I love it and often eat here a couple times a week!

This place is terrible. I ordered the fish, chips and salad, fish was grilled which and over cooked, dry and tasteless and the salad was lettuce only. My partner ordered the beef special of the day (cooked medium) with prawns and mashed potato which arrived later and very much 'well done'. The wait staff were great, but the main meals took more then 30 minutes to arrive after ordering bread as an entree. The owner was on site but obviously not interested in the clientele, and more absorbed in drinking beer outside than the quality of his 'restaurant'. The portion sizes were ridiculous, i'd be surprised if the beef eye fillet was close to 100g. The prawns were on steroids and did not taste like prawns, and when cut open were a funny colour. Not something you want to eat. I would not recommend visiting this establishment, what a disappointment, more so than most places. Definitely won't return.

This place was worse than being in an episode of Faulty Towers! I live just near this place so I have been to it a few times now and it just gets worse and worse. The owner is a rude jerk and you will be met with poor food and poor service and staff that will laugh at you when you leave.

Similar to another review I too had the owner belittle my wife for her sending back her steak for not being medium rare, it was clearly over done but not according to the owner.

I have had steak here three times now and my steak last night was the worst ever. I had a t-bone with mashed potato and red wine sauce. The steak was burnt, dry, tough and tasteless (No joke you would not believe it unless you were there), the mashed potato was pretty much the same as the one you get from KFC and the red wine sauce was like water with red dye in it!

The whole meal was horrible! I told the staff how unhappy I was and returned my unfinished meal but the chef did not take my comments seriously and I could hear them complaining about me as I paid the bill.

If you are a fan of being taken for a ride, eating bad food, being abused by an owner and staff and paying $30 for a microwaved dinner and $8 a beer then Ninety at Rhodes is just the place you are looking for. This place isn't just bad once, its bad every time.

They started a breakfast this year and it seems like the staff have read the reviews about service because today's service was top notch and friendly. Warm greeting and casual conversation.

The place fits in well with Rhodes, the modern greys and minimalist design, so if you're into the Rhodes area then you'll like the place. For their breakfast, I would say they need to lower the prices or drastically increase their standards, $16 for a big breakfast that was too greasy. The sausage was cheap and they need to think about upgrading to cafe style bread for toast, not bread from Tip Top. Also adding a bit of colour (salad) to the dish would make the dish much more attractive.

They did have some strong redeeming factors, the Eggs Benedict with Salmon was tasty and well prepared. Their coffee was perfect, good quality beans used and expert barista. I'd go again just for the coffees. Curious about the lunch and dinner though, looks like a nice place with plenty of variety.

Even giving 1 out of 10 is overrated for this restaurant. I was personally abused by the owner when I took back a completely burnt pizza that was delivered to me. He threw the money back at me and said never come back...

Terrible, just terrible. Food was overcooked and overpriced, service was slow and the waitress uncaring. Would never return.
