We have ordered some takeaway food from this restaurant and it was absolutely awful. We had 2 tom yum soups, one with mushrooms one with prawns, they both tasted the same, tasteless and too sweet. We then had one barbecued duck curry and one tofu, cashew nuts and vegetable stir fry which were both tasteless and sweet and over cooked. We didn't eat this food. The green papaya salad was slightly better only because it wasn't cooked but still barely edible as well.
We paid $60.00 for all that, so that was really not good value.

The customer service was also chocking. When I rung to complain I was told that I didn't understand thai food because I was english. I didn't like that comment because firstly I'm french and secondly because I have eaten thai food in thailand but also here in Sydney in restaurant and take away which was delicious. I know good thai food, Merci beaucoup.

Is there a better Thai restaurant in Sydney? Everything I've tried at Nina's is unbelievably flavourful and delicious. There's no wonder why I've been coming here for years and I live closer to Newtown where there are a hundred Thai restaurants that don't even compare to Ploy Thai.

Highly recommend the chicken with cashew nuts and chilli jam. Slighty sweet with a bit of heat, the chicken is always perfectly cooked and the cashew nuts lovely and crunchy. I haven't had the boat noodle soup in a long time but I remember that was also very rich and delicious. Love it!

At a games night with Lil Neecy and her girlfriends, we ordered takeaway from this place. The duck noodle soup was sensational while their pad se eu very flavoursome. Very very cheap too.

Very good food, especially for the price. Ambience well, reminds me of a restaurant on one of the small Thai islands i.e. cheap and bland, they even offer tissues as serviettes, just like being in Thailand! Service, not very friendly but definitely efficient. Overall, definitely recommended, just don't expect too much over and above the food itself.

The first time when I went there I ordered duck noodle soup, drunken noodle, green chicken curry. It’s very nice yum and cheap. Friendly staff, fast services. And I always go there once a week with my family :-)

A lot of people around Bondi rave about this place, but I can't understand why. Even though the food was cheap, the portions were tiny and the veggies weren't very fresh. There are far better options nearby, offer better quality dishes in roughly the same price range.

Ever since I San at Eastlakes closed, I have wandered lonely as a clod seeking a really good, or even a half way decent, Thai feed. After many a trial and tribulation, disappointed heartaches (and heartburn) found this little ripper. Excellent food, super cheap, good service, byo, nice location, take bookings. Oh happy man, person.

Really bland, not many fresh vegetables and rather pricey for what it was. Servings were on the small side too, and they charged for extra rice even though the rice servings were really small. It was surprisingly busy though so maybe we just didn't pick well. Don't think I will be back in a hurry, there is much better Thai around the corner!

There's nothing exactly wrong with this place but the portions are small, entrees aren't fresh, service is slow and decor needs attention. If you're hungry go, but there are a few other places very close by that are much much better.

So many better Thai places in Bondi. The food is sub-standard, fresh spring rolls weren't very fresh. Slow staff, more worried about getting the take-away orders ready than serving sitting customers. I really don't see why people rave on about this place.
