This place has nice decore, friendly staff and yummy food and very reasonable prices. What's not to love?

Steven and his wife are great at this lettle gem. Their Lion King is by far the greatest Sushi dish in Sydney and for $15 what a bargain.

Also, after reading some of these reviews I believe it does not truly reflect the service. Nikko staff never bring you the bill, you always have to go up to the counter to obtain and pay the actual bill. Therefore, it seems like a competitor in the highly competitive area of Anzac Pde is having a cheap shot at this great place.

We came here about 1 hr before closing time on a week day and received friendly service. The miso was good, as was the dragon roll which came on a cute wooden board, other details such as the star shaped carrot slices bent for a 3D effect was a first, great presentation. Also ordered a standard Korean dish, japchae and a bowl of udon. Both were well done. Average/good value compared to CBD Korean restaurants. Tables and chairs/decore were modern and fresh.

Some dishes taste great, like spicy pork, others are plain and somewhat tasteless. The owner makes everyone feels very welcome. Very cute little place!

Everything I tried was below standard. Even the Edamame was a little tough. The korean pancake, the sauce was too salty. Their bento box was disappointing, the salmon was a little too dry and I wasn't expecting chunky potato salad either. At least the miso soup wasn't watered down like some other places.

Anbience wise its a little small but comfortable furniture. Service, minor issues, didn't take long for the food to come out but they didn't bring a plate so we could put the empty edamame on.

Value wise its not that its expensive but rather portion size feels smaller.
    Overall Disappointed with the experience.

Average food with average value but if you go there when it's nearly empty the staff's better than any other place.

I went here for a quick dinner with my partner yesterday and decided to give this place a go since it was one of the newer establishments found on the anzac parade strip.

The service was very attentive during the time that we were here. I found that the length of the menu was particularly brief and the types of Korean food offered far outweighed the types of Japanese food (at this point in time, this doesn’t seem to match up to the claim that they “serve more than 70 Japanese and Korean food” on their business card). Nevertheless, we ended up ordering a Pa-jeon entrée dish, a bulgogi don, and a dolsot bibimbap.

The food came quickly without much delay. The bibimbap was nice but we felt that it needed more meat for that extra flavour. The pa-jeon was average, and the bulgogi don had a nice sweet flavour but abit too watery for my liking. I enjoyed eating at Nikko but was let down by its lack of options in their menu and their ability to serve authentic Korean and Japanese food.

Just been there for dinner, so disappointed, I will make a list of the issues found:

    1) The small dishes given as entry in all the Korean restaurant are much below average, some radish, too sweet, very poor.

    2) The Korean dumplings, sorry can't remember the proper name, are very bad, sticky, heavy, no fresh... I still can feel them in my stomach.

    3) The California roll was ok, average.

4)The sashimi in rise completely tasteless, too simple. very poor

    5) They took me the bill before I asked for it. No professional.

    6) The bill is given in the same plate they use for the food.

    7) The menu is too small.

To conclude, the place looks nice and that's it, to run a restaurant you need much more than a nice interior design and nice cutleries. These guys have not experience at all.
