Have been here 3 times and is always perfect, great fresh food great service, prawns in light batter are just brilliant, the quails are awsesome, in fact its all great, good to see that this has come to five dock, would recommend any time, byo and licensed which is a bonus, try it out, you'll be back.

This place has a very modern Asian feel to it, which is refreshing to see. However, I believe it needs to add music. I went with my family when there were only a few people, so it got annoying at times when it was silent. The food was alright, but the service was not excellent. It took a while for our food to be served and the service was a bit too confronting.

A Vietnamese gem in Five Dock. Very good. The Salt and Pepper dishes are about the best you will have. Anywhere. Crispy and not drowned in a soggy oily mess on the plate.
Service is so very friendly. Brought the kids along and they were provided with specially coloured crockery of the kids own choosing. They really couldn't do enough for us. The decor is modern and pleasant. They have a small wine and beer list, but not overly priced.
There are so many tasty sounding dishes to try. We will definitely return. This has become a family favourite after one visit. Give it a go!

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. So much so that last weekend we ate in on Saturday and had a takeaway on Sunday so we could show the rest of the family how great the food is. It's already deservedly busy which is great to see. About time a great Asian restaurant opened in Five Dock.
The spare ribs are legendary, the snake beans in garlic butter a must and we loved the salt and pepper flounder too. We adore our Vietnamese so will back again soon to try more on the menu.

This restaurant is a welcome addition to Five Dock which is not a suburb renowned for great food. We weren't expecting much, so it was a very pleasant surprise to get excellent food and service. The owner needs to settle down a bit, his constant "how is everything?" and filling our water and wine glasses everytime we'd had just one sip started to wear thin. But it's great value, excellent quality and BYO so will certainly be back.

Highly recommended. Delicious food and service delightful. Owner/Manager (?) was very accommodating to our requests (more chilli, less chilli, not too strong coffee etc.). Try the sugar cane prawns and Vietnamese ice coffee.

I have been to Nha Tranh Restaurant twice since it opened. The first time I went, it was with a fairly large group (20 of us in total). They catered for us well and the first dishes were brought out within 15 minutes of our order.
My favourite dishes were the speciality rice paper wraps (the ones where you wrap them yourself, it was a novelty as well as tasting awesome) and the nha tranh special spare ribs. Others on my table also really liked the soft shell crab and the salt and pepper calamari/squid.
If you're looking for a drink, the ice coffee (or the cafe sua da) is a must, although beware of drinking this too late, as on my second visit I had a coffee later in the night and was up and about well into the night (signs of a good coffee?).
For dessert, I tried the banana fritters. This was served with ice cream and a choice of topping. It was just how a fritter should be, crunchy on the outside yet soft on the inside, definitely a tasty treat. The service on both visits was top-notch, with the staff very friendly and happy to accommodate our needs.
In terms of value, the menu is very reasonably priced (it cost us about $20-25 p/p including drinks, entrees, main and dessert), although you can get cheaper vietnamese cuisine elsewhere in the western suburbs, the high level of service (in addition to the cleanliness of the restaurant compared to others out there) would take me back for another visit (or visits) to Nha Tranh Restaurant.

This place is great, I frequently dine in on the weekends or order delivery on the weekdays when I cannot be bothered to cook. Service is impeccable, staff were friendly and prompt (English was not an issue, a refreshing change). Food takes a little while to come out, but well worth it. Portions are generous. The DIY rice paper rolls are a must.
