Randomly popped into the restaurant, craving fresh spring rolls, and was pleasantly surprised by the great service, food and price. We ordered the pork fresh rolls and the summer rolls (prawns and pork) and found them tasty, especially with the sauces, if a bit tightly wrapped. We had boneless lemon chicken, which, being crumbed, was a slightly different take on a chinese staple.

The other main was the special of the evening, a crispy-skin chicken, and completely blew us away with the taste and texture. The service was incredibly attentive, and the only hiccup was a wait for the second main, but given how tasty it was, we didn't mind one bit!

This place is great! I had take away last night and the food was amazing and authentic. There was great care in the preparation - everything packaged separately to keep it fresh. It had taken me 3 months to try it because I thought it would be rubbish. I was wrong. Its my new favorite!

A great little restaurant in the inner west for Saturday night. We ordered wonton soup, satay beef skewers, caramelised fish, stir fried broccoli with duck and crab meat, and snake beans with garlic butter. My daughter really enjoyed her wonton soup and our favourite dish by far was the caramelised fish! Keep up the good work.

Food: Not much Viet food choices around Five Dock, closest would be Bankstown/Flemington for Pho noodle soup, Cabramatta/Fairfield is a bit of a drive. Don't expect traditional Viet dishes but modern smaller dishes. Banh Xeo pancake was not up to standard -soggy, summer rolls and pork chop dish were yum.

Ambience/Service: modern and much better than average pho decor places. prompt, waiter suggest special dishes, noisy table was nice to kitchen area, owner's boy playing gameboy on one table.

The service at Nha Tranh was great, friendly and attentive. The food was good, even though it did not feel like authentic vietnamese food. In particular the fish sour soup tasted more sweet than sour. Total bill cost approx $20 pp.

I thought the Chinese component of the menu (of the items I tried) was fantastic, and although simple, the dishes were all spot on. The salt and pepper chicken wings were perfect, the sizzling fillet steak was butter soft, and veg/noodle dish was very tasty, and the pork chops were delicious. All dishes we tried were suitable for our young children too. The service was fast and friendly. I will definitely be going back!

A small little place which catered for a large group of us. Eating vietnamse around Cabramatta I do have a sense of what the quality should be like. It was a little underwhelming, my broken rice which is my favorite vietnamese meal was a little below par, satay sticks were ok, rice noodles was good and the rice paper rolls should have been a little bigger.

Service wise there are nil issues and its reasonable priced food. Overall a little disappointed.

This restaurant is a fairly regular dine-out for us. The menu is a mix of Vietnamese and Chinese, but we have not been disappointed, although some dishes are better than others. Generally the food always has that fresh quality you look for in good Vietnamese food. The service can be a little over attentive, but the staff are friendly and helpful. The decor is modern and pleasant and overall, it is always a good dining experience.

I found this very disappointing but I realised when I got there that although I love Vietnamese food I generally dislike Chinese food and it is your average Aussie Chinese food place. So that is why it will suit some people and not others. I wish I could have liked it and obviously they will do well because it seems so many people do.

I'm not sure what everyone is raving about with this place. I went with a group of my friends (14 of us) last night and I was terribly disappointed. Being Vietnamese myself, I was quite excited to try another Vietnamese restaurant expecting lots of fresh, tasty and oh so yummy food.

However, everything we ordered, spring rolls, pork balls you wrap yourself (nem nuong), pancake (banh xeo), steam chicken salad, special pork ribs, salt and pepper squid, so-called Saigon chicken and stir fried rice noodle were bland bland bland! The only okay dish was the stir fried water spinach with tofu paste, but even that was so full of chilli that it became unbearable to eat, so I gave up eating all together after a few mouthfuls.

The only good point about the place is that the service was good and attentive, but I was a bit surprised when I went to order in Vietnamese and the manager said he "can't speak Vietnamese". It finally clicked as we were leaving when I heard the chef and staff packing up and speaking to each other in Chinese. I'm not sure if this made me more disappointed or more understanding of how bad the food was..... you know, Chinese folks trying to cook Vietnamese food etc.

Sadly, I won't be back and for those who want to try some authentic or at least decent Vietnamese food, do not come here. You will be disappointed!
