I dined here on a Saturday night and enjoyed my time here immensely, and would definitely recommend it to others seeking yummy authentic Lebanese food and a fun lively atmosphere.
Our waitress was very welcoming and showed us to a large table near the front window, and was able to answer any questions we had, we enjoyed attentive but not over the top service which was nice for a change.
The food was the star attraction of course with the lamb shawarma having a fuller flavor than many I have had before, the mansaf dejaj had a very nice tenderized pulled chicken topping which I really enjoyed having never had the dish before. And we enjoyed the belly dancing show (if you’re up for some fun: joining in is encouraged!)
All in all a great night out for my anniversary, with a more unusual treat at the end of champagne and shisha out the front under their cozy heaters. I’m really glad I tried it despite mixed reviews online and thought I’d share my experience of a little of Lebanon in Newtown that I really enjoyed.

The food was great, tasty and good value. The Sheesha Garden (courtyard) was not appealing as the fluro lighting was very bright and harsh. With the right lighting it would be a much nicer environment.

Was recommended by an acquaintance so I tried it but was disappointed. I was expecting coffee to be great but instead it was flat and lukewarm, the food was pretty average as well. I had their big breakfast and it was just a mess, the eggs tasted like they were cooked and left on the counter for about 1hr then partly reheated and served to me, the bread was tough, the beans were just terrible. I wouldn't recommend the cafe.

This is my favourite Vietnamese restaurant and I have to travel from the north shore! I adore the signature Viet pork and prawn roll entrée, unmissable and the cubed beef and they have the best vegetarian or BBQ pork fried rice that I have ever had. It is deliciously light and flavoursome without colouring the rice with oil, so it is wonderfully colourful with either choice of ingredients but still lovely and fluffy.
Best tofu ever in the vegetable tofu mix, my vegetarian friend said that it taste so good! Love you and your food thanks.

I go here often and love the place. On the one occasion they forgot a meal we got a free drink each and dessert and did not have to pay for the late meal. Now thats superior customer service which always brings me back, the food well its heavenly.

I've now been to Grub & Tucker a couple of times. The first visit was as "full paying" customers. I ordered the burger and my partner had the salmon risotto. The burger was okay, but I think the days of the outstanding burger that isn't from a gourmet burger shop have passed. The salmon risotto on the other hand was delicious! A massive serving as well.
This prompted me to jump at the chance of a voucher deal that gave us a full 3 courses for a ridiculously cheap price ($39!). Having had one meal there, we were fairly confident it wouldn't end up like our last voucher (La Kasbah). The voucher menu was separate to the full menu, but it still gave plenty of choice for each course. We started with the Garlic Prawns and Garlic Mushrooms. The prawns were fresh, juicy and tasty. I could have done with more garlic as was the case with the mushrooms, but I Love garlic!
For mains, we had the lamb shank and the barramundi. The lamb shank was fall off the bone tender, but lacked a "wow" factor flavour. It was lovely, just not Wow. The barramundi was much the same. Perfectly cooked, but the tomato relish with it lacked any real flavour. I mentioned it to the waitress when she asked, saying that it could have done with, perhaps, more herbs during cooking, and she happily passed it on to the chef.
The desserts were a step above. My partner loved her Chai and ginger creme brulee, and I inhaled the berry trifle, and loved the pashmak that was put on top.
Service was very friendly, non obtrusive and efficient. Could not fault it at all. Overall, the food here won't blow your mind, but it will satisfy you, and give you a pleasant meal out for a reasonable price, even without a voucher.
I'll definitely be going back again.

This is a great place for a quick drink before dinner. The staff are always fun and attentive and give that little bit more to make sure you feel relaxed and content. In summer, watching the sun set on the terrace out the back is the place to be. In winter, snuggle up with a bottle of red in the lounge.

Really uncomfortable experience here recently! I ordered a vegetarian dish but when it arrived was full of meat! I explained this was not what I had ordered and I am vegetarian so cannot eat it. The waitress insisted that the other waiter said it was what I had ordered and we 'can't just take things back when people order the wrong thing'.
I refused to pay for something that I did not order nor touch and she made me very uncomfortable calling me rude and saying 'the cafe will lose money because of you' and 'it is so impolite of you'. Well I definitely won't be eating here again and either will my friends!

Went here tonight for dinner and loved it! Service was friendly and professional. All the waitresses were lovely and attentive. I had a delicious salmon dish cooked perfectly and beautiful chocolate and coffee meringue cake for dessert. Ambience is gorgeous with candlelight and lovely decor. Highly recommended!

We love the Corridor! Rustic interior, love the fairy lights, lovely friendly, happy staff. We usually go upstairs, preferably in the garden outside, but the inside upstairs is nice too. One of the things I like about this place is that people are there to sit and chat...it's mellow, happy..not rowdy. Love it!

Went there with booking on a Friday night. The place was full by 7pm. So an early booking is recommended!
Food: Very nice with generous serving, we had the gnocchi and tortellini for entree. You should try them if you go there.
Beverage: We brought our wines, and at $4 per bottle, it is a bargain. Instead of some cheap and small wine glasses, they give you decent glasses which is a nice gesture.
Service: Friendly and fast.
Value: 3 courses for $55, it is fantastic value.
Highly recommended, but not if you are on a diet.

This place is cheap but tasty. It doesn't look like much on the outside, and the decor is truly wanting, but the food is really really tasty. Nothing about this place is delicate, the flavours are bold and adventurous. The chicken risotto (while a little bit on the oily side) is just fantastic, every time!

Shocking service and a substandard meal. Ordered a thai beef salad and a pork belly, pork was ok, nothing to write home about but the Thai beef salad was the worst meal I've ever ordered! burnt cashews, limp lettuce, a bland creamy dressing passed off by the chef as "thai mayo", very overcooked beef, plus there was no onion and no herbs, just a pathetic tasteless salad but the real problem was the service.
I complained to the waitress - useless, no communication skills, then I went into the kitchen and came across another useless staff who "understood" my complaints but offered no remedy. I left 2 phone messages and sent 3 emails to the senior staff complaining and received no reply. This place is terrible and I will never return - shame of Newtown.
