The place has great Polish food, prepared in large and tasty portions in a genuine way. The real letdown of the Polish food, however, is the Polish service. Whilst my friends and I highly enjoyed the meals we ordered, left feeling full and sated, the service was cold and uncommunicative (waiting 45 minutes for mains without any update). Overall I think the place is decent and will give it another shot (because of the food and value) but I think service needs to improve.

We have had dinner a couple of times. The food is excellent. We have also had a lunch there as well. Large helpings and beautiful food. They also have free WIFI if you need it. Good service as well. It is a cafe style restaurant and the simple interior belies the excellent fare.

Went for Saturday breakfast with 5 others. This is simple fare with a decent price point, so you don't feel ripped off. Adequate service, good value and would recommend if on a budget. The staff were nice and I look forward to trying the polish dinner menu.

I simply love this place. The best Polish food in Sydney, very simple, very homemade and very tasty! Every time when we visit New In Town we have dumplings , my favourite are with cheese and potato, my husband love the one with meat topped with wild mushroom sauce.
Then I always have a problem choosing what I’m going to have for main. Duck? Whole grilled trout? Ribs or maybe skewers? My husband never has to deal with such a problem, he simply always want a pork knuckle. And beer.
Normally we are so full after the main, that we are not able to have a dessert! So we are taking home! The last time we had a Polish donuts! Delicious!

My wife and I have been to this restaurant twice and we will certainly be going again. I was born in Poland and although I have lived here most of my life I love Polish food. The food at New In Town is authentic, of high quality, and the serves are generous.
The service is friendly, attentive but not intrusive, and helpful. The meals are well presented and arrive promptly. I feel that the restaurant decor is quite bland and generic and I would love the restaurant to have more of a "Polish feel". Polish is such a beautiful language but it uses the English alphabet quite differently to an English Speaker. The menu gives the Polish name of each dish with a detailed and accurate description. I think that some native English speakers would appreciate and enjoy a menu that provided some assistance with how to pronounce the names of the dishes.

Went for breakfast here, and was very disappointed. First of all the breakfasts took ages to come out. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast, which came with 3 eggs, I don't eat eggs and when I asked for no eggs, they didn't offer me anything else, I asked for beans, but they didn't have them.
I also asked for brown bread instead of white. When the breakfasts finally came, I got white bread and no avocado, which was part of the breakfast when I told the waitress, she took the breakfast back and came back with brown bread and half an avocado dumped on the plate which they had obviously forgotten. The sauteed spinach was only about 6 leaves (I counted them!) mixed with the mushrooms. My partner got more spinach on his big breakfast as a garnish! The bacon on my partner's breakfast was very anaemic and quite fatty, which he didn't enjoy.
While the service was friendly enough, there seemed to be only one waitress running around doing all the serving. Coffee was nice, and that's about it. I would come and try dinner, but definitely not breakfast again. For the money you pay, the value is not great.

Something a little different,my friend was impressed with her flaming duck, which was half a duck and my pork lions was a little above average. The dumplings are nice but a little oily but there are a few more meals that i wouldnt mind trying. Ambience, a inside/outside area but furniture is plain. Nil issues with service. Value: its what you expect to pay for this type of place. A pleasant experience with more I want to try there

Couldn't fault anything, food and service was outstanding, very traditional polish cuisine full of flavor and well presented. Huge servings of every course so you won't go home hungry. The pork knuckle and duck are outstanding and the perogi(dumplings) are amazing. I have been 3 times and can't wait to go back. Friends have also been and raved about it every time. You get the personalized service every time by both the floor staff and chefs, truly amazing place and I'll be going back for more. Best food ever.

Went to this place on a whim, and it turned out to be a winner. The restaurant itself was a bit loud, but has a good menu with lots of variety. The food came out very quickly (just as well, we were hungry!). The pork knuckle main was far better than I expected, and their picked cabbage was great. I'd certainly go back.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend who lives locally. We really enjoyed the food and didn't need more than a main but ordered one side and a dessert to share with coffee. The food was excellent and the service from the two lovely wait staff was spot on. We'll go back very soon.
