This is a very authentic Korean restaurant. I loved it.

The servings are generous and the food was delicious. We had the bbq duck, marinated beef (beautiful) and marinated pork (slightly spicy for me). I'm glad we didn't order an extra dish because I had to roll out of the restaurant. The wrong sliced pork came out and when we told the waitress, she happily took it back and gave us the correct pork without any fuss. Will definitely go back.

Taking a lead from reviews on Eatability we chose this restaurant on our first visit to Eastwood tonight and were very happy with the choice. The restaurant was actually full bar one low table which was reserved. However that table's reservation hadn't turned up so the waitress kindly offered it to us. That reservation's loss - our gain for sure!
Not experts in Korean BBQ we pointed at what looked good at neighbouring tables and picked some other dishes from their photos outside. Sliced duck and marinated pork rib was expertly bbq'd by one of our party and utterly delicious. The seafood pancake was huge and moorish and the pork, cabbage and oyster dish excellent. The five of us ended up with huge amounts of food once the complimentary kimchis and rice arrived but somehow we managed to get through it all. It was too good to waste. Unbelievably the total came to only $95 for a feast for 5 - amazing.

Yum! It was delicious but maybe a bit on the pricey side/portions small for their prices. The service was quick and efficient although we're kinda sick of being told how to do or eat something just because we're not (whatever ethnicity food we are eating). I guess it's a fine line between trying to be helpful and being a bit presumptuous.
Three of us had three things to barbecue (marinated beef rib, marinated beef fillet and pork belly) plus one pork and cabbage soup. The soup was very spicy and delish. The barbecue meats were lovely, especially the beef fillet, but I would have liked more for the $15-20 we paid for each thing eg there are only 3 beef ribs in that serving.
The staff was friendly but didn't speak much english, which is okay if you know your way round korean food or don't need to explain anything like allegries or whatever. We had to switch tables because the barbie on ours wasn't working but the waitress couldn't tell us in english, another couple nearby helped out with a translation. But that's no big deal to me. Drinks were cheap. Food was yum.

This restaurant is where the Koreans go to in Eastwood should they want BBQ Korean style. Probably the most authentic Korean restaurant I've been to Sydney. I agree that the service can be a bit of a problem, but knowing a few Korean words help a lot.
One thing that really annoys me at this place are the patrons that come in during the busiest of the day grab a table, order a $10~$12 meal and expect service, not to mention refills on the side dishes. I honestly believe some patrons take advantage of the fact that this restaurant provides the side dishes without a word. This really makes me cringe. These people wouldn't get half the service they'd get at this place anywhere else.

This would have to be the worst experience of my life. It is especially hard because I chose it based on the comments in this page. The meat was substandard, the service was abysmal. Table for 8 and we were forced to cook on one hotplate. First order was brought last and the price was an insult.
I have spent extensive stays in Korea and this restaurant is an absolute insult to Korean food. Do yourself a favour. Do not go there!

Style of the restaraunt is very traditional and the food is fabulous. As a Korean person, it's great to find a place in Sydney that serves real Korean cuisine. It's usually very busy and so you have to tell them if you need anything; they will not wait on you. Value is fantastic especially when sharing dishes in a group or family. Service at around lunch time isn't so good.

Knew we wanted to go to Eastwood for Korean bbq, but had no idea which one, so picked this one based on Eatability reviews.
The verdict: Yum! As someone said earlier, you know you're on to an authentic place when no one speaks very much English and the place is packed with Koreans eating with gusto.
We tried 3 of the bbq dishes (bugolgi, pork ribs and chicken teriyaki) which were marinated to perfection, tasty and tender, as well as a serve of fried dumplings which were also great.
Side dish selection wasn't the best I've seen, (kimchi, kimchi tasting radish, kimchi tasting konnyaku and a salad) but it was complimentary and unlimited. Aside from running out of rice (how is that possible??) and thus only receiving one bowl rather than the 3 which were to have come with our bbq dishes, service was fine (expectations weren't exactly high!).
I'll be back to try those massive plates of red looking noodles (with crab? octopus??) everyone else was eating!

Mediocre is best described for this place as every time I dine, my judgement changes. The service can be either really good or really bad (they sometimes give you an extra bowl of rice or either forget the bowl of rice all together and regardless of ordering the same dish, it will possibly taste different the next time you taste it.

You certainly know you're in for an authentic treat when the Korean-to-Caucasian ratio is definitely skewed to the ethnic side. If the smell of chargrilled, marinated meat doesn't draw you to the door (I apologise to all vegetarians as you may already guess that it isn't veggie friendly), then I reckon you should have your nose checked.
Food: Awesome. Everytime we go, we go for the DIY BBQ. Not only are most of the meats well-marinated and tender, but it's an incredibly amount of fun cooking your food, and then combining it with all the additional sides. Not knowing any better, we only stick to the BBQ. However, it seems as though those who know the local delicacies will go for something more extravagant. We see a lot of people ordering the monkfish stew. Although it's not my cup of tea, it's massive. It's like Jesus feeding the 500. Going back to the meats, never been disappointed with any type of beef, ribs, spicy pork, or chicken.
Ambience: You know you've hit an authentic place when they pay not attention to the ambience. Don't expect anything wild. Just simple decour. So, don't go for the decour but go for the food.
Service: Very attentive. They normally don't understand a word I'm saying so I normally point to my meal on the menu. That's my problem. Again, you know you're in a fairly authentic place when they actually hire those native to the home of the cuisine. The staff are constantly checking to make sure we have enough sides, water, and replace the charcoal when most of it is burning off.
Value: Hands down fabulous! The average BBQ price is $12, and the sides, plus rice, plus letuce just keep piling up on the table. Also, BYO is a buck.
So, I say the best places are the low key ones that only the locals go to. And, it's always great to discover one of these little places tucked away in some corner of the greater Sydney area, and rave about it. Expect no thrills on anything except... the food.
