We went recently for a party on a Friday night and it was a great night. The night was well packaged and the food was generous in servings. I found the night to be quite entertaining and went on till the late hours, plenty of dancing and singing. I found the menu to be quite authentic Greek. The best thing that happened is that our good friend who has been single for so long met his partner here at another party that was at our adjoining table.
So Cupid is well and truly here. Its hard to find places these days where Greeks can meet other like and get on and party, and you never know, highly recommended for "what the night and venue is"
Went to Mythos on a saturday night. As I was reading the resent reviews a lot of people were complaining about the food. I don't quite get why they would be complaining as the food is just something to fill you up before you have a great time. Go eat somewhere else instead of eating there than.
It's a night club with plenty of entertainment. It's smart that they are getting you to do stuff instead of just dance. eg: belly dancers, red cross stripper and getting up on the bar to do some pole dancing with a broom stick, but my favorite part was when they lit up the bar with alcohol.
Ps. I am greek with an excellent taste of everything, would love it if they had a house or a electro night to change it around, and the humous is only there because a lot of Lebs go there.
When we arrived at the restaurant, we were seated towards the front, the staff took our drinks orders and they came straight away. Our banquet then started with a tiny bowl of "greek salad", that had no vinegar between 6 people. Followed (half an hour later) by dips including hommus, which may I add is not greek.
We then sat for approx 1 hour before our entrees came which consisted of salt and pepper squid styled like you would find it at your local chinese, followed by egg plant which was quite literally cut into rings and deep fryed, I had to squeeze the oil out of mine with my serviette as it was simply squirting everywhere.
The main course which then came another hour later consisted simply of one lamb cutlet per person, another serving of the dismal greek salad to share and four meatballs to share once again between six people. I am greek and cook authentic greek food often, this is a place that I would not suggest anyone waste their time going to, the food is not remotely greek at all.
Food was good, nice ambience, however, it took about 2.5 hours to serve a set menu for two people. I have never seen such bad service in my life before.
Food was ok, what you would expect. You won't be disappointed but you won't be over the moon either. Service was ok. Always have to look around for a waiter as they're not coming to you though. Ok for a big group like a hen's or birthday. Entertaining more than anything. Happy to come back one day in a large group but in no rush I guess.
Went there a couple weeks ago for a hen's night, it seems this place specialises in group occasions. We paid for the $50 banquet, it was a meze style menu. From 8pm, were ready and seated for an evening of dining and fun.
Despite the good vibe that the restaurant presented, both the service and food were terrible. We waited more than an hour for the entrees to come out and then by 11pm, only one item of the main course came out. By then, it was too late to eat a full meal anyway, and some of us left. Every time we asked the wait staff, we were told the food was coming. It does not take 3 hours for a 10-course meal to come out, let alone a 2-course meal.
I was appalled. Surely, you can't have any fun when you're starving. I won't be hurrying back there in the near future.
I had a decent night, nothing special, I enjoyed the dancing and the atmosphere was pretty good. The food took too long and while I was waiting the staff didn't approach me to inform me why. Great place to go and dance but thats about it.
Was a bit pricey for food, but it does include entertainment and it was a special occasion for my hens night and even though the entertainment was tacky, it was just so fun. The strawberry dackeries were just awesome and really good value for money. Love this place, would certainly love to go back one day.
Firstly I would like to start by saying I have been there many times and will return. To the comments below... about being very expensive and very tacky... you more than get what you pay for. The staff are always helpful and cheerful, and surprisingly don't get the credit they are due when dealing with drunk people. The service time on food could improve but as our party was advised they bring the food out when everybody from the function has arrived. It's definitely a place I would recommend for a night out that is different and entertaining. Keep up the good work guys!
