Just ate here on Sunday night. I had the pancake and some spring rolls, which tasted great. Lots of basil mint lettuce, and plenty of fish, and chili sauce. I would have to say probably the best Vietnamese I have had in ages, and the bill at the end was 17.00, you can't complain about much. The ambience is not much but seems quite clean and the plates of food coming past me were mouthwatering. I think this is going to be a favorite of mine.

Reasonable food, but definitely authentic, nice decor, friendly wait staff. Prices are middle of the road for the area. The best part about the place is the expansive menu, which offers far and away better variety than most places in the area. Great if you want to try something different.

Better than Viet Nam and a lot closer to home. The tamarind crab and the fried chicken in corn flour, gluten free heaven. Try the fresh fish hot pot it is the best this side of Saigon. Value for money, friendly service and great food. Cam on, Anh yeu My Canh. Ngon lam.

This Vietnamese restaurant has been established on Greenfield Parade Bankstown for many years. Its success was owed to providing genuine Vietnamese food at quite reasonable prices.

However during a recent visit I noticed there has been a jump in their prices. Accordingly I have had to lower the 'value' for money rating.

With in excess of 200 menu items to choose from anyone who enjoys Asian food should find something to their liking.

A quick word about the lobster: I once ordered the lobster with salt and garlic butter. When it was brought to my table the lobster looked like it had been through a chainsaw massacre! Staff could not explain to me why it was necessary to chop it into dozens of small pieces. I spent an uncomfortable half hour trying my best to pick tiny pieces of lobster from the smashed pieces of shell. That said I have never had any other cause for complaint during the years I have been going to My Canh. I just know to stay away from the lobster.

With a hard surface tile floor and no soft materials to absorb noise - this restaurant can become quite loud. However the quality of the food and quick service easily make up for a little discomfort from the noise.

My recommendations are the chicken with curry, coconut milk and rice. Also the braised beef with lemon grass, hot chilli and rice is very nice. Don't miss out on the pork, prawn rice paper rolls. They are huge and the dipping sauce is excellent.

Authentic Vietnamese food. Dishes are simple and fresh. Soups are light and tasty. Prawn or Crab with tamarind sauce are really delicious. Outdated decor. Great service. Go here for a casual weeknight meal and you will enjoy.

Food very tasty and good value, as good a real vietnamese food but with even better quality ingredients. Special mention is the salt and pepper squid, best we've tasted in Sydney. Also the tamarind prawns are excellent. We are and will continue to be regulars at this restaurant for it's great food. It's a little loud and the decor is a bit out-dated, but if you're a true food lover, you won't mind at all.

The service is friendly and helpful. All in all a great place to eat, highly recommended.

I actually found this place by accident. Went to bankstown to buy some groceries, and were keen on Vietnamese for lunch. We kept it simple, and had the Beef Pho! Excellent, big bowl, very tasy, fresh ingredients (very fresh unlike some other veitnamese eataries) and very well priced.

The restaurant itself is large and well spaced. The tables were clean, and the waiter (I'm guessing the owner) was exceptional, english was great and he was quick to help. Will definitely come back here. We were the only western people in there, all vietnamese patrons, though this proves it must be good.
