Great place in lovely Summer Hill. The food is really tasty and it's a cute cozy place but the service from the senior staff is awful, she's particularly grumpy. Corkage fees are ridiculously overpriced! A shame as it would be perfect if it wasn't for those 2 bad points.

Went with my partner tonight and had a lovely meal. 3 tapas selections (calamari, prawns in spicy tomato sauce and yummy lamb skewers). Also had a side salad with nuts and blue cheese. Delicious!

The wine is incredibly reasonably priced and the desserts were fantastic (apple and rhubarb pie and Lemon Meringue Pie). The only complaint about food was the prawn sauce could have been a little spicier. Service from the 2 male waiters was a little lacklustre but nothing too hideous. Will definitely return and recommend.

We had breakfast here recently and were surprised at how inadequate it was. A simple order of scrambled eggs on toast, which is hard to go wrong with, was incredibly stingy for $10. Perhaps, one egg (if that)! Barely three tablespoons of scrambled egg and generic wholemeal toast. Coffee's were luke warm. There was only 3 people in the cafe, so being busy was not the reason. I am commenting as I was so surprised that this meal could go so wrong!

Used to be really good. Some nice staff, particularly Elizabeth but the senior staffs are rude, even to cafe regulars. Has lost much of its ambience over the last few years. Decor used to be sort of retro mediterranean in feel, now it's not unlike most other places ie bland. They need to extend the day menu.

I live in the Inner West and received a flier with the menu from Muse Cafe. I am Spanish (from Barcelona) and waiting to find a 'real' or as authentic Spanish restaurant as possible in Sydney. When I saw Muse's menu I found the tapas offered were quite 'the real deal', what we do eat in Spain.

I went tonight with my husband and we had a wonderful time. I loved the atmosphere, it is small but cozy and it didn't feel too crowded. The service was good and the best, was the food!

I am surprised to find such mixed reviews in this website... after our visit tonight we are sure to go back and try the rest of the tapas. We had delicious freshly baked bread, a beautiful Russian salad (typical Spanish potato salad), yummy Pincho Moruno (lamb skewers), as well as a very refreshing sangria and croquetas.

Usually I am too full and don't get to enjoy deserts, but I did enjoy the delicious Buñuelos stuffed with ice-cream. I wanted to give my good review and support what I think is the most real Spanish food I have tried in Sydney, and that after having tried quite a few other so called 'Spanish' restaurants!

We were a little disappointed that the tapas selection was limited. Food was ok - marinated mushrooms and garlic prawns were good without being special, but the white bait was touch disappointing. Ambience was not so good, unless you enjoy being in a small room with noisy kids. Value was ok, and it is a byo.

Delicious dinner, outstanding I must say! Re to breakkie can't really opinate, however, everyone that I know has conplaints about it, weird, but apparently there are two different chefs, that would explain it. I went last wednesday. Amazing is what I can say.

Came here for dinner and enjoyed all the dishes that we ordered. Good sized portions and reasonably priced. A few improvements could be made but overall, good. They do a special on Wednesday nights which includes Sangria. Worth a try.

Terrible breakfast experience. Group of 11 for a birthday breakfast. Food took a long time to come out, mine came after everybody finished eating. Half the table had poached eggs which were cold and hard. They didn't came back to us with simple requests like some water please. Didn't clear the table before we served our birthday cake (we cleared ourselves). Ordered two coffees just as the food came at 10am, it was 10:45am and they still didn't come. We requested they be cancelled and asked for the cheque. They came back with the coffees and the cheque with the coffees on the cheque! "Sorry it's a little late but here they are". Ridiculous.

This review only covers breakfast at Muse cafe which has been very good over a number of visits. Sunday mornings do tend to be quite busy and so you do wait a little while for the food. But weekdays the service and wait is not too bad at all.

The big breakfast is very nice and they are flexible enough to allow a few changes if you want that. Coffee is also reliably good which it needs to be in Summer Hill where there is a lot of competition.
