We visited this restaurant after reading great reviews on this site. Murraya offers a lovely atmosphere and very attentive service. The manager offered helpful advice when we had difficulty selecting mains (there are a lot of great choices!) All our meals did not dissapoint in any way, and we left very full and satisfied. We will be returning!

What a beautiful restaurant!

The ambience was lovely and it was nice to dine in a restaurant that wasn't too noisy. Service was excellent! Staff were attentive and professional. We loved the warm plates. We recommend you try the onion bhajis, they're beautiful!

We'll definitely be back.

Dined with my wife on Wednesday night with high expectations and was not disappointed. The restaurant has a pleasant ambience and excellent service.
We shared an entree of Papdi Chaat which is light, refreshing and tasty, and also Tandoori Cutlets which were well trimmed, tender and intensely flavoured.
Mains of Masala Dosai which is light, crisp and savoury and Malai Kofta were excellent.

The Lasooni (Garlic) Naan was also light and crisp. Definitely the best Indian food we have eaten, we will certainly be back.

After a long day out with friends on Saturday we decided to dine out as well. As usual the choice was hard as to where we should dine, Indian, Malaysian, Thai, the only thing we all agreed on was to go some where different. Indian was the flavour of the night. And we are glad we made this choice.

It was service with a smile, from the moment we entered. The food was authentic Indian which tingled every taste bud with the right spice levels. The entrée of Papri-chat had the perfect infusion of flavours and lamb cutlets were succulent and tender, perfectly cooked in the tandoor.

And then to the main meal. The masala dosa was the best that we have ever had. It was crisp to perfection. The chilli beef fry and the chicken chettinad along with the garlic naans were delicious. Now for the dessert. It was something out of the ordinary and mouth watering.

The delicious dinner was complimented by the soft music, the dim lights, spotless white table ware and artistic interiors that made the evening an enjoyable and relaxing. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Tried this place for the first time with a group, we did not make a reservation but luckily there were a few free tables upstairs.

Food was very authentic, reminded me of my mothers cooking back home. Really enjoyed the lamb chops and prawns for entree and all the mains were excellent especially the fish curry and vindaloo. Everything was perfectly spiced and better than anything we had ever tasted before.

Service throughout was fantastic, we were able to select a few dishes that weren’t on the menu and the staff were polite and attentive. A little expensive than most in the area but I really wouldn’t mind paying a few extra bucks for good food. Highly Recommended. Looking forward to our next visit!

Last Saturday had a fantastic dinner with my family. A very beautiful restaurant,very delicious food excellent service and very ambience too. The wait staff were excellent, and the food came out within an acceptable time frame after it was ordered.

Masala dosa was the best, I never had something so crispy and tasty.The only thing kept me waiting was the briyani but it was definitely worth the waiting.

The owner is very cool and he make sures that all are well served and the waiters are Professionally trained,they offered us the ice cooler as soon they saw our white wine and they even served warm plate's to keep the food warm till the end (not many restaurant does that now a day's).

My favourite entrees (lamb chops and veg basket). Can't wait to vist them soon. Highly recommended by me and my family. Hat's off to Murraya. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Recently went for dinner with 10 people here. Made a booking a few days before and added two more to the table a day before, only to find they had not adjusted our booking, meaning we were crammed onto a table for 8 instead.

The food was mostly excellent, very well balanced spices and heat. An interesting selection on the menu, with a few familiar dishes. The entree was delicious, we had very tender tandoor lamb cutlets, samosas with a delicate filling of vegetables, not tasteless as is often found. There was also an onion bhaji that was also delicious. All entrees were mild.

The mains were all great, some stand outs being the chefs special beef curry and the several vegetarian dishes we chose, including one with eggplant. One dissapointment was the kashmiri beef rogan josh. The beef was tough and the sauce pretty average.

Service throughout the meal wasn't bad, though a little slow, and the drinks waiter didn't offer fresh ice buckets when ours was full of water. But this was spoilt when on leaving we asked for our bottle of wine back that was in the fridge and the wait staff denied any knowlegde of it. I asked them to check the fridge out the back and they 'assured' me there weren't any. This spoilt the experience for me as it was a $20 bottle of wine and nothing was really done to fix the problem.

Overall: I would recommend for the food. But I won't be returning after the missing bottle of wine!

Wonderful restaurant, food is amazing and very authentic, feels like I'm back travelling in India. The masala dosai was perfect, crisp with the lovely soft inner layer with perfect spiced potatoes. The sambar is to die for as are the tandoori lamb cutlets (one is just not enough).

The service is excellent, attentive enough without being too imposing. Pricing is usual for Indian restaurants but the food exceeds anything I have had in Sydney. Well worth travelling to try. Highly recommended!

I went to this restaurant based on the good reviews and I also live close. My wife and two teenage children came along for my birthday dinner so it was my choice where we dined. We opted for one of the banquets as they looked like pretty good value for money.

The food was nothing short of sensational, especially if you are a fan of indian food. The lamb korma was very tasty as was the butter chicken. For a bit of heat the beef vindaloo did not disappoint without being overly too hot. Both my children said before they went that they wouldn't like indian food but after the meal both said they definitely wanted to come back again. The owner came around asking if we had enough to eat and would we like more of anything that we already had. The service was very attentive. Overall good value for money and would definitely come back.
