Wow what a night out we will not be making that mistake twice! The food was luke warm and the portions were small it was nowhere near where it was about 2 months ago. We will not be going back we stayed at the hotel that night and the rooms were in a shocking state and smelly. The breakfast was bad and most of the hot items were tasteless.

We choose 3 tapas and a main to share. The brioche sliders, empanadas and calamari were all fantastic. But the seafood paella main was very disappointing-for $31 it was the smallest serve. It had one piece of calamari, a crab and no other seafood, big let down to a great meal.
I’d go back for the tapas, the set menu ($35) looks like the way to go.

We had the Tapas set menu. The strange thing was that the food was not particularly Latin to me (unless they do mini burgers and chips?), but it certainly tasted nice and fresh! That mini burger was juicy and the chips were fat and slightly crispy. the other more latinish foods were also tasty - I've been to so called Spanish restaurants where freshness doesn't seem to be a priority.
We had "Grant Denyer" serving us, he did well but he seemed to be on his own most of the time and was working pretty hard, so we felt wanting a couple of times - not his fault. I'd be interested to see what their standard fare is like, so may head back someday.

This restaurant I feel has real potential. Nice location overlooking Cronulla beach. Modern funky setting within the Rydges Hotel Complex.
Not sure the title of the restaurant is in line with the menu however. They do offer a set tapas menu for Friday and Saturday only. Instead we decided to sample a few of their entrees on the Al la Carte menu to get that tapas feel we were after.
Unfortunately, the food was just lacking any real punch. Chorizo was really dry, veal empanada was too doughy, stuffing on the mushroom didn't offer much in flavour and the Sangria was almost like water.
Hate to be too critical but I was really expecting a decent lunch from this place. My understanding is the restaurant is relatively new and I'm hopeful with time it will improve the food quality.
