One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to! Even with the Entertainment Card still not worth it as food is tasteless!!

Mu Shu has some amazing dishes that seem to be wasted on the mix of backpackers and rich-list of Bondi. I found that the flavours of this fusion menu are truly inspiring and it should probably move to the inner city where this style of cuisine is more appreciated. We got some great advice from our waiter and I would certainly go back.

Cocktails and Oysters are the highlight of Mu Shu. An expensive night out however, we enjoyed great service (from looking at previous reviews, at little bit of an oddity). Highly recommend the duck and Snow Crab.

This place looks deliciously inviting from the outside but unfortunately this was the highlight of the night. Incredibly inflated prices for what is overall one of the poorest dining experiences I have had in Sydney. Average food and incompetent service. Very disappointing.

For the worst dining experience ever - go to Mu Shu! My partner & I eat out regularly and enjoy a good quality meal. We do not usually factor in price, providing we are happy with the menu, venue & quality of food. Mu Shu was referred to us by a friend who knows that we enjoy places like Longrain & Jimmy Liks and she suggested that this was comparable. -What a shock we got when we discovered that not only was this place far from comparable, it was by far the worst meal (from start to finish) we have ever had!! I would have been happier with a meal from McDonalds.

It's always concerning when the waiter initially tries to deter you from ordering a dish (when ordering the salt & pepper squid he said "I wouldn't if I were you" and then made a scrunched face & shuddered), which should have been the first sign of disaster but unfortunately we proceeded to order.. What followed was just wrong!

We took the waiters suggestion and replaced the squid with the "bang bang" chicken. It would have helped to know that this dish was cold, as well as likely being the blandest dish on the earth. The duck sung choi bao I expected to be great - it was completely inedible & had to be sent back (N.B. I don't think I've had to send a dish back in any restuarant for at least 2 years. In this restuarant, all but 1 dish was sent back!) The waiter thought he'd try to do a good thing and replace these with "duck springrolls". We soon learn't that these are again, inedible.

The whole meal was frightening, other than the wok tossed prawns which although tasted very good, were cooked in the shell & therefore very difficult and fussy to eat. Our wine was very nice & the only other thing consumed that night (besides the prawns), but at $70 a bottle you'd expect a nice drop.

I have never written a review on a restuarant, not even on the fantastic ones, however, I thought it imperative that people be forewarned about this place. It might look good but it is so bad that something simply must be said!

I went to Mu Shu on a date, and it was perfect for that. It's nice to see the chefs and it's a good conversation point. Lovely decor and I saw that there were lounge type arrangements at the front that would be great for groups of friends. Pricey (for me) but not insane! Recommended.

Overpriced for what it is. Quite decent decor and setting but ruined by the service. We were perhaps unlucky with our waiter who was well, completely off his face. He spilled wine, water, knocked things off the table, insisted on shouting 'mate'at us and wiped the wine bottle on the booth next to us! All whilst girning and staring wildly.

To be fair, when we complained they ensured he didn't go near us again but the damage had already been done by then. A big thumbs down.

Service and décor were great. Yum Cha was beautifully presented and the taste of each item were most unusual, unlike normal Yum Cha.

Been to Mu Shu twice now and am fairly impressed. The ambiance and layout of the resturant is great. We had the banquet and qhilst most meals were fantastic, some were not to my liking which I suppose can be expected with such a wide range. Salt n Pepper Squid, Duck Pancakes and any one of the starters were out of this world. A little pricey but well worth a visit.
