Old décor, strange “entertainment” (Kamahlesque singer??), non-Indian waiters/ waitresses combined with daggy clichéd Indian food make for an odd dining experience.

Live in the area and since the change of owners (mid 2011?) the food has once again been up to the old standard, delicious flavours, lots of meat in dishes, generous servings. The restaurant really went off the boil in 2010, but having visited twice now in the last month I can't recommend it enough.

Last Night I and my friends had a great time being in Mother India for our celebrations.

Staff is so down to earth and the level of service is outstanding.

Food was too good and drink was up to the mark.

Worth paying $$. Amazing drive. Things went best for us enjoyed a lot.

Mother India was an interesting experience. The food was only modestly better than shopping centre food court standard. The decor was tired and in need of a spruce up and numerous wait staff struggled to adequately service the "few" customers that were in the restaurant on a "busy?" Saturday night. Clearly better staff training is required. Cool drinks delivered warm and without ice, and spoons handed out with the wait staff's fingers all over the end you eat off was very ordinary! At least we got a laugh from the indian crooner who sounded like a tortured Kermit the Frog. He managed to destroy songs form the 60's through to the 90's yet in such a way you wanted to laugh and singalong with him. Been once, not likely again...

An amazing treat of authentic Indian flavours with a menu that boasts of unique specialities other than the normal Butter Chicken and Naan. The Speciality list was really nice with Martbaan ka Gosht and a Mixed Seafood Curry being a hot favourite. The Seekh Kababs were really authentic and fresh.

Mother India is great and the drive is pleasant. Food is great, all of it, love the tomato soup and the little palate cleaning sorbet. Maybe not quite fine dining but that's even better for our kids who love the music man and the lounge area with the books/toys to keep them out of mischief while the food is cooked.

I visit this restaurant alot it has great food I love the royal buffet. The waiters are good and the atmosphere is pleasant especially eating and listening to the songs. The foods cost reasonable, just one concern, there has been fruit flies flying around on several occasions.

Service was excellent, I enjoyed food, music was good and environment was perfect for the fine-dining. I went with my friends and it was really enjoyful.

Agree with Tronz below. Truly average in all aspects. Oily food, which wasn't 'fresh'. The tomato soup shooter was the best part of the evening. Shame to travel so far for something that couldn't be further from 'fine dining'.

Went on sunday evening and there were three other tables occupied. The location is amazingly far but beautiful. The food was an utter disappointment. The wait staff was rude and sarcastic and short of the fact that it was 745 pm on Sunday we would have left. Will not drive 50 kms to be spoken to the way we were and eat commercial quality oily food. Agree with Mrbunngle and tronz.
