What a treat! I visited this cafe a week ago from a Cudo offer which included a 3 tiered tapas stand and a bottle of wine. Yet again, I've been introduced to a fantastic venue which has ticked all the boxes for me so far!
The dinner included up to 4 people, so I invited 2 of my girlfriends from work and we stopped in for dinner. Everything happened swiftly and smoothly. The food was served before we even got to our daily gossip!
The soft shell crab was divine! The platter of dips was an assortment of different flavours and the chorizo was to die for!
As we moved through the food one bite after another, I found the service to be very attentive and pleasant. They were very involved with checking on us and refilling our glasses, however, we felt taken care of as opposed to rushed like a number of other restaurants I've visited in Sydney (who shall remain nameless).
After a pleasant feed (assortment of flavours, variety, perfect portions) and 3 bottles of wine, I am pleased with the experience overall and plan to use this place for my coffee meetings as it is conveniently located a few minutes walk from my office.
If I had one thing to criticise, it will be it does feel slightly cramped being seated inside with all the waiters pushing past each other around the bar area.

I love this place! Came here Friday night after work for dinner and drinks with some girlfriends. We sat outside with a live jazz band playing and drank our $5 drinks. Such a great deal they have! Our waitress was really outgoing and funny too so it definitely made the night more fun. We ended up getting dinner and I had the fillet which was cooked perfectly. It's been a while since I have had a great steak so I had to write about it! I would definitely recommend coming here after work during the week for the specials.

Just awful. Rude staff, clearly they just don't want to be there! Food is disappointing, I had a very sad, over cooked piece of salmon, how can you get cooking salmon so wrong? maybe the kitchen staff doesn't want to be there either! Shame, since it's a nice venue, just very badly run. Not a good experience, won't be back.

Awful service! Didn't realise that the Cafe want to classify the client that are not having high tea is of no value to their business. We had been asked to move to the next table which is 45 degrees from the original table and was told that they couldn't set the table cloth for the table which is not having high tea! The waitress is extremely rude, cross the arms and rolling eyes when she doing our order! Food is just so general, never never go back!

Food here is really bad, although the set up and the service was good - the quality of the food is poor and very bad value.

A group of my friends came here for high tea on a Saturday afternoon with the spreets vouchers of two people for $38 which was great value but since it was busy service was non existent with waitress unfriendly and they seemed flustered. Good thing we had the vouchers as the potions of each items were tiny and nothing like the QVB tearoom. Still we were here to catch up and we managed to kill three hours talking and we basically ignored everything around us. I won't be back for high tea but their lunch menu looked nice.

Really disappointed on my second visit here. I don't often order red meat so when I saw the venison they had on special here I got excited. It was $39 for venison wrapped in prosciutto with caramelised vegetables. The vegetables (carrots and beetroot) were Ok but way over sweetened. The venison was tough to the point I had to saw at it with a serrated knife. I don't often leave anything on my plate but I left a sizable chunk.
When asked if it was Ok I mentioned it was tough. All I got was "I'll let the chef know". No sorry or feedback at all. I think $40 is at a point where you don't expect anything to be overly wrong. Lunch was not enjoyable. I won't go back.
May 25, 2011 - We just had a great lunch here. The service was great. Very friendly, efficient and casual. It was excellent value with a voucher. I thought these prices a little expensive however. Mains are up to $41.
We had the scallops with cauliflower tarts and it was superb. I would go back for that alone. The wine selection is Ok but expensive by the glasss at around $10. The beef was apparently cooked to perfection and look as such. I had the lamb which was suppose to be medium rare but came out (for lamb), well done, however, I enjoyed it very much. The beans with almonds as a side were perfect. Such a nice setting for eating inside with the wind and rain outside.

I've just had a business lunch here and I think its the perfect venue. The staff are professional and personable, the food is very good, with a good choice on the menu and the wine again had a good variety.
