When we arrived for a family birthday dinner, the waitress put us in the front room where the TV was blaring. We asked for the TV to be turned off, but the staff refused saying that they could not work without the TV. Unbelievable! We came for dinner, not to watch TV.

Food was ok, but hardly exciting. Most of the staff looked desperately bored and disinterested. Only one young woman showed any enthusiasm.

Even though we are locals, we won't be in a hurry to go back. We'd rather go a bit further for a decent experience (without the blaring TV!). It is clear that they have been there a long time and have stopped airing about their customers long ago.

Overall a very positive experience. The pizza was fantastic the gnocchi was incredible and the service was great too. I would recommend Morsello!

Have always wanted to try this restaurant but was very disappointed. The senior staff was constantly frowning and grumpy when asked a question. The waitress forgot our orders we only received our drinks halfway through our main course. The pizzas were a little bland. The only thing we loved was the haloumi salad. Everything was below average, might go back to try other things on menu if the service was better.

We have just moved into this area and decide to give this restaurant a try. This experience will definitely be our first and last.

The grilled fish that I ordered was not fresh. When I complained about it, the owner insisted that it was fresh and that he had personally bought the fish. Even my dining companions could smell the stench when it arrived at the table. After much argument, it was returned to the kitchen.

It is obvious that the owner is not aware of the Australian safety food standard (HACCP) that required the freshness of foods to be maintained at all points. When I asked for the bill, the price of the returned food was included in it.

To avoid further confrontation, I paid the bill in cash (they do not accept credit cards which was an added inconvenience) without any further argument. After all, I am sure he needed the money as there wasn't a line waiting outside to be seated.

The arrogance of the senior staff had certainly left a bad taste besides ruining our night out. Whilst the service offered by the girls was good, we cannot say the same for the senior staff. In closing, I would say, we will never return to nor recommend this low grade restaurant to anyone.

We moved to the area 4 months ago and dine here regularly. Morsello's has quickly gained our favorite local status, great friendly staff, good honest and flavorsome food, we keep coming back. Good relaxed atmosphere and very attentive and warm genuine staff make a great value experience.

We have been going to Morsello for over 5 years now and it is really your friendly local restaurant where you can just walk in and relax and have a nice dinner. Joe and his staff really look after the diners but lets not forget the chef, Eli, who had on numerous occasion cooked me pasta dishes that I had in other restaurants but not on their menu!

Yes, there is another local Italian restaurant Mario, where we had tried on a couple of times when Morsello was closed for holidays. The food was not as good as Morsello and the restaurant is very noisy and all we wanted to do each time is to finish and leave.

Would recommend Morsello to anyone who wants to have a nice dinner at a local restaurant.

First meal here for me, although, my family have been many times. Great pasta dishes, prawns with garlic, chilli and parsley tasty with the just the right amount of chilli. Pasta marinara full of flavour and fresh mussels. 2 generous veal dishes and the biggest serve of fettucine bosciaola.

The desserts were delicious, huge serving of outstanding tiramisu, pannacotta with marsala jelly and sticky date pudding all went down a treat. The garlic pizza was good although the garlic was a little bitter, lovely thin base. Only downside was the lack of service, had to ask for everything. Saying that it was a little busy and only one waitress. Will definitely try again.

Came to this place for dinner with my family on a whim. Had not read any of the reviews and had pretty much just stopped by. Got the last table on a Friday night, and ordered two pizzas and a spag bol with a side of chips. The chips were perfect, crispy and crinkle cut (my favourite!) and were eaten up no time. The pizza base was lovely, light and thin, pretty well done.

The supreme pizza was a bit boring - the pineapple didn't seem all that fresh, too much onion and not enough meat, but the gourmet chicken pizza was quite a hit. The spag bol was too oily and definitely something that was better whipped up at home - nothing special about it all.

Service was ok, with a nice young man as our waiter for the evening. Value also ok with all dishes around $15-$25. Probably won't come back, think Mario's is a better choice for the neighbourhood.

Maybe I've been going on bad days, but whenever I've gone the pizza's have always been far below average. I don't mind the pasta, but it claims to have authentic pizza. Well, if that's authentic pizza, no one would ever rave about Italian food.

Have been coming to Morsello's for a few years now. I have always found the food to be great, the staff are friendly and overall it is good value for money. I have read some of the other reviews and truly wonder if they were at the same place. Over 6 and 1/2 years I have never had bad food or service. In actual fact it has been just the opposite. I cannot fault Joe and his staff. They truly have their customers best interest at heart.
