What's all the fuss about?? Found the food dull and uninspiring. Yes the food was fresh but boring. Wine list is overrated and expensive.
Service was friendly.

Have been there twice - the first time was great, but on the second occasion the drinks waitress ignored us and was really rude. The wine by the glass servings are on the small side. On the upside, the drinks are fantastic, but the food is mediocre, but okay for the bistro feel they are trying to achieve.

We arrived on a very wet (and quiet) Sunday night. Very cool lighting. We were greated nicely but the first drink took too long. (I could see it on the bar and wanted to collect it myself!). The food was very very good but yes, the wine list was expensive. If you know your french, italian and spanish wines then you'll love it, otherwise don't be afraid to ask.
The size portions were fair (I think when people review they forget that in the price of your main meal you are not paying only for food, but also for rent, the staff wages, the insurance, and many many more unseen costs). We had some cheese for dessert and this is where they lost points. The portions were too small and the cheese just did not deserve to be on the menu. The service throughout the night was great with the exception of the first drink. But one last winge - as a female I don't mind unisex toilets but I do mind not having somewhere to put my handbag without it getting wet. Also the toilets are very uncomfortable to sit on. Sometimes it's the little things that matter

Extensive wine list but very expensive. We bought by the glass & were charged $12 per glass (less than half a glass really & appeared to reduce each time he poured a glass). The food was very good but not good value. We tried the degustation menu ($75 per person) 7 courses over 3 hours and we were hungry when we left. The servings were miniscule. One course consisted of half a prawn on a wafer. We were extremely disappointed after hearing good reviews & would not recommend it to those paying their own way.

This bar is very good - friendly staff and cocktails were handled well. We were turned away as it was busy and latish but thought nothing of it. Fair enough. See you another time.
