Living in the Elizabeth Bay circle, finding a place that feels like home for breaky/brunch is quite a hassle. However, I found a home in Monkey & Leo.
I don't agree with the comments below saying that it has bad service, from the tone of the writer, its sounds like its from the same person. How childish is that! True it can be slow but when you have a full house of customers, you have to be mindful and grown up to understand that the staff are trying hard to accommodate everyone.

I am a regular to Monkey and Leo and highly recommend the Egg White omelette with Pouched chicken and Mushroom. Perfect for people who are health conscious. Stick up for local businesses who take pride in service, food and know you like family.

Went to have bfast one sunday it took 15 minutes to get my cold and flat coffee. A woman behind the cash register (I don't think she knows anything about food or service at all. Food was average. Not going back.

Went for breakfast on a Saturday morning, 15 min wait on coffee's despite other "regular" customers whom arrived after us receiving theirs first. Coffee's arrived with an apology, however one had spilled into the saucer. Rather than replacing the coffee, the waitperson ran inside the cafe, returned with a napkin and then proceeded to mop up the spill. Very, very, unprofessional.

Good simple food, great service, friendly atmosphere, yummy coffee, what more can you ask for? If you come here expecting fine dining and gushing wait staff you are clearly in the wrong place.

Breakfast at Monkey and Leos on a Sunny Sydney Sunday Perfect! A great menu with the freshest ingredients available, friendly staff and a great coffee to start.
Look forward to my next visit.

Mmm just mediocre, was staying at the Serviced Apartment in the same block and had the breakfast, pretty pricey and ordinary, when he asked the next day if it was breakfast again I said, "No just coffee thanks".
