Momo Brasserie is the Upper East Side’s new destination for a relaxed dining experience. Momo Brasserie offers clever twists on timeless favourites, superior service and uncompromised quality in a contemporary urban space.
The team at Momo realise taking a few moments out for breakfast, lunch or a late graze and drink is quite often the only source of respite during a busy Sydney work week. That is why we have priced our food and beverages so you can treat yourself as often as you like.
We’re the home of traditional New York style pastrami, cured salmon and made-to-order meat dishes, salads, seafood and sandwiches prepared in our very own kitchen. Almost everything is made in-house, in front of you, using the best available ingredients.
Momo Brasserie offers every-day priced wines, spirits and beer, not to mention great coffee and a wide range of leaf teas, which compliment the menu and the setting.

Had a quick coffee and toast one morning a couple of weeks ago. The Owner suggested a slice of house made Pastrami to put on my turkish toast: Amazing. I think these guys are the only ones making Pastrami on site. A process over several days which is explained on a small placard on the table.
As a result of that I dropped in for lunch with a colleague yesterday to try the Pastrami the way they serve it. You can have it on the Reuben sandwhich or as a main served with green beans and a few other garnishes. The Pastrami is a real star and I loved every mouthful. The owner told me it was wagyu pastrami!
What a great meal, well priced, and with attentive and discreet service. Nothing to fault.

My wife and I had previously booked Momo's using a voucher deal for lunch yesterday and found that all was in order on arrival. Our table was reserved as expected and we found the staff efficient and friendly. The meals were ample and well presented and we found the establishment fairly busy with the lunchtime CBD crowd which one would expect of a decent restaurant. I would recommend Momo's to anyone and hope to return in the future.

Being a vegetarian I ordered a Reuben sandwich without the pastrami. The staff suggested I have a vegetarian sandwich instead as it would be more filling but I declined as I'm a big swiss cheese and mustard fan. Instead, the helpful staff brought me out a side salad to go with my sandwich and the side order of chips which already came with the sandwich. It was more than enough food for a lunch order. My friend ordered the Reuben with the Pastrami and also thought it was great. We agree they are the best sandwiches we've had in a long time! The staff were very friendly and helpful while we were there and the food came out very quickly! I'll be back again for sure!

The owner was very friendly, if not overly so, but the other staff needed some training and were not so helpful. The food was slow in coming, which isn’t good for a work day.
The cheese ciabatta is an open ‘sandwich’ which is really cheese and tomato on toast with some sort of chutney. Not great and especially not for $16. The accompanying chips were like hot crisps, really thin and tasteless.
My friend did enjoy his salmon and I must say it looked a lot better than the sandwich. I must give them credit for making their own pastrami and smoked salmon, I am sure these things are good. Maybe its just the vegetarian options that are average.
Response from Management:
Many thanks for your honest critique. We at Momo Brasserie are anxious all our customers have an enjoyable experience. We were therefore disappointed to read your expectations were not met. We have reviewed your comments in light of other feedback. We sincerely hope your next dining experience at Momo Brasserie will be far more enjoyable. Many thanks and kind regards, Bruce Goldman.

Momo offers a level of service that many ritzier restaurants could try to emulate. Friendly, attentive and efficient. The restaurant is smart, but casual. The menu is well-priced and caters for most tastes and the food is excellent. The Reuben with house-made pastrami is heavenly. Loved the fries, too. The wine list also offers variety, and great value. Host/owner Bruce Goldman has been serving up value and quality in Sydney for many years, and Momo is a credit to him.

I've got very high standards when it comes to food and coffee so prefer to stick to tried-and-tested haunts, but decided to venture into Momo for lunch after a strong recommendation from one of my colleagues. It was definitely worth a try because I've found a new favourite spot!
The manager is very friendly and the overall service is great, all the staff are attentive and knowledgeable. My friend and I decided to get the New York Pastrami and Wagyu Brioche with the ripple chips. Both were absolutely delicious and definitely recommended. Other items that stuck out on the menu were the grilled calamari with couscous and poached chicken with polenta, and the couple next to us had the tempura fish which also looked terrific. And the all-important coffee did not disappoint.
I would definitely recommend Momo. Great food, great service, great atmosphere.

I went with a colleague to Momo for breakfast last week. Weshared French Toast with strawberries and smoked salmon Bagel with srambled eggs.
The presentation was like a five star hotel and the prices were as reasonable as any CBD cafe.
The French toast was made from Brioche and perfectly cooked and covered in real maple syrup. The bagel was excellent and the salmon was smoky, yet not oily. The waiter informed us the salmon is smoked in house. What a treat.
Coffee was very good and not too hot. Great place for a business breakfast or just a catch up with colleagues or friends.

Great for breakfast! My friend and I had a house made crunchy muesli and the bircher muesli - Yum!
Excellent service, water was on the table in no time and the selection of leaf teas was excellent. I had a beautiful green tea with melon and my friend had the scented jasmine. The mueslis were amazing and had a unique home-made touch. Plenty of fruit, nuts and seeds, and not too sweet and beautifully presented.
Breakfast came to $11.50 each including our tea - Great Value. I can not wait to try the lunch and dinner menu!

The girls and I went to Momo Brasserie to celebrate a birthday and it was absolutely wonderful. The service was more than what anyone could ask for, the staff should know that they made the birthday girl feel extremely special!
The food was divine! We had the breakfast menu and the french toast was mouth-watering! It's been nearly a week since we've been there and we're still talking about it! Hope to come back soon. Highly recommend for people who are looking for a fancy meal at an affordable price, you won't be disappointed.

I took two learned friends for lunch at Momo Brasserie after reading a review in Central Magazine.
Food was very good and service, impeccable. Management’s attitude was exceptional. I brought along a vintage shiraz to enjoy with my colleagues and mentioned I would be happy to pay corkage. The manager, said, as a consumer he detested corkage and credit card surcharges and as such, charged neither. What a welcome and refreshing attitude in Sydney hospitality, which now names and shames or charges patrons who fail to turn up for bookings.
We will be including Momo Brasserie in our weekly dining portfolio. Well done.
