Agree with previous two reviewers. It is remarkably bad, with the sting in the tail of being overpriced. This place has the prime locale right next to the cinemas and there's a lack of variety, questionable freshness and high prices. Seemed friendly, however, but will Never go back.

I agree with mustardseed's review on 23 January. Went on a Thursday shopping day for dinner when it was quite busy. Not much variety, portions were small and expensive and tasted mediocre. Only thing that was nice was when we ordered the mix tempura which was hot and everywhere makes this easily. Left after a few plates of sushi and was shocked to be hit with a $40 bill, still feeling hungry and opted for something filling of value at the food court. This is our first and last time eating there.

Portion sizes are small, over-priced and freshness is often a bit of a gamble. Hot items frequently circulate well after they've gone cold, even during busy lunch hours. Staff are frequently disinterested and hard to flag down. For every tolerable meal, I've had another disappointing one. Mitzu can be a good choice if you're willing to take a gamble and hope you get fresh dishes this time, or know little about sushi quality, but there are many other better options in the North Shore area more worth your time.

I'm very surprised how people think the sushi here is 'great'. This is "Japanese wannabe" sushi. This is not Japanese or even close to it. This place is Korean run and its more like Korean sushi, which is not that great. This place has terrible sushi, they only have around 5 variations of sushi going around on the conveyor belt and when I ask for the menu to place an order, nothing I wanted was available.

The items that Were available NeverR came. And the salmon was Not cold. Only God knows how long it's been sitting out there in ambient temperature. I only had 2 plates of sushi, my friend had about 4 plates and my sister also had 2, all in all 16 pieces of sushi for $52. Massive rip off, I left hungry and unsatisfied. And they only allow One free refill for tea which is the stingiest thing I've ever seen.

Even in the city they allow unlimited refills. The service was bad, slow to bring me dishes (they only brought one out of the five I ordered), but they were quick to take our money when we asked for the bill. Never again.

Sushi here is great but damn it is expensive! I guess the prices are a reflection of the high rents at Macquarie Centre.

Though they have sushi that I've only seen here, for example fried sweet potato sushi which wasn't too bad, I was expecting more. More on the sushi plate, more variety. Some of the sushi sashimi was a little tough, was it not defrosted enough? The edamame there was one or two of them looking at little off. The plates cost more than other sushi places for the same items.

Nil issues with service, they seem conscious to quickly clean up whenever someone leaves. Ambience: its in a shopping centre but the inside is nice despite the plastic sea food around the sushi conveyor belt.

Overall a little disapponting, a little more expensive than other sushi places but they have some original items there.

I normally love this sushi train but I made a mistake going last friday, I'm pregnant so I didn't get anything from the train I just ordered food from the kitchen (Gyoza and Teriyaki chicken) that night I fell ill. I won't be going back.

We come here all the time. Compared to other shopping centre sushi trains, the quality of the sushi/sashimi is excellent. That being said, you also pay for that quality, it's more expensive than other chain sushi trains. My husband loves the eel and I love the seared salmon belly. The fact that you often have to wait for a table attests to how good it is.

Mitzu is such a breath of fresh air when it comes to sushi. It's modern, unpretentious and the food is delightful. I am not a great sushi fan but they have plenty of variety so even I enjoy it and their sashimi is always fresh.

As a weekly sushigoer, this place was a huge disappointment. Found myself staring at patrons seated side-on and facing a mirrored baine-marie full of plastic fish, crabs etc.

I wondered why these plastic toys were there and how often they get washed, being so close to the food preparation area. Near absence of condiments - no ginger or wasabi mayo. When asked for mayonnaise, I was handed a small dish with a tiny dollop in the middle. The waitress added this to our bill. (Charged 50c extra).

The portions were miserably sized and the sashimi smelled, a little odd to me. I only ate one piece here. Fried chicken with mustard was the best dish. I had 5 poorly presented and sized dishes before quitting in disgust. The senior staff paced around behind patrons with his hands behind his back, like a WW2 POW camp commander. Kind of unnerving.

Yet another overpriced, sub-par "Japanese" clip-joint, riding the current Australian obsession with sushi... In my opinion.
