Chocolate isn't chocolate. Mitra is a special place, where chocolate fans and the ones who should be convinced really find a treat. While I am a fan of hot chocolates, they sometimes tend to be too sweet or too creamy that after two sips you feel like you had enough. At Mitra however, you will drink a chocolate which is neither too creamy nor too sweet but simply delicious and it even leaves enough room for a little chocolate praline on the side. A big plus: It is a place where the owners make you feel at home and do not look sharply at their watching when it is about closing time but engage in conversations (if you want to) while you can take your time.

I stumbled upon this treasure as I was going through Mosman and I have to say I felt like I was in Europe again! What an amazing and cute little chocolate shop - the chocolates were not only delicious but the service and attention I received made me feel so welcomed and at home! I highly recommend that you make a visit to this shop and try their hot chocolate and the spicy chilli chocolate!

This cute and cosy little cafe had a great European atmosphere. The service was nice and friendly. The hand made chocolate was divine and their new home made treats were authentic and delicious. Overall a charming place and a great experience. Highly recommend.

My all time favourite is the raspberry filled chocolate, and the one shaped like a big mushroom. Absolutely decadent!

Mitra's hot chocolate is the best hot chocolate I ever had, you should try, even better than the hot chocolates in France and Spain. (and I am french), Mitra's shop has a very unique ambience which makes you forget about all your worries, specially with the beautiful music in the background, which reminds me of home. Her chocolates are fantastic specially with the original packaging and excellent presentation, a perfect gift.

My favorite is chilli hot chocolate with the slice of chocolate cake. Mitra can count me as a regular customer specially now that winter is coming and I am writing a book.

Mitras chocolates are divine. I can assure you I am an absolute chocoholic and have eaten everything from Amedei in Italy to Cadburys at the local supermarket. Mitras chocolate is so fresh and beautifully creamy and the fillings are rich and not too sickly sweet. My favourite is the raspberry filled chocolate. The truffles are soft and melt in your mouth. I will be back to have a hot chocolate as soon as I work off the calories from my last expedition there.
