Fast, cheap and tasty what more could you want? Large selection of Chinese/Vietnamese style dishes. Cheap at around $7-$10 each. Served very quickly to your table after you have ordered at the register. Great for when you want a fast meal. Pub atmosphere may not appeal to all.
Again quick food, the chicken tomato fried rice is very good for the price ($6.50 I believe). And the free tea that comes with it solidifies my 10 rating for value. You can watch pay tv sports, play the arcades or pool while waiting. The only downside is that you have to get everything else, cutlery, tissues etc yourself as they want to cut on unnecessary staff prices. Fair enough though for the pittance you pay for the dishes on offer.
Had dinner here wed night, needed something quick and cheap after shopping to deaf at newtown all day. I have been here many times and always great food. Had combo seafood chowmein and crispy chicken with rice noodle soup. The soup bowl was so big I could of had a bath in it. For $18 bucks for two people splitting at the sides I would say one of cheapest dinners for a long time. The staff were also friendly and one of the girls wanted to touch my wifes belly [being pregnant] that is pretty funny. If you want cheap food that tastes great and very quick service you won't be disappointed.
Food is really good and cheap, I also liked the fact that the bar staff were sexy and fun to talk to, the bistro staff on the other hand speek very little English. A good place to have a feed, a few beers and a game of pool with the boys.
Great place for cheap but very tasty Chinese food. Soups are great as is Pepper Steak with tomato rice. Always crowded which is indicative of its popularity.
Great place to eat, cheap & one of my favourites. My favourites are the lobster mornay, the sauce is to die for; chicken mariland with tomato rice; the beef noodle soup isn't too bad either. You can also get beer or wine from teh bar. Great place & it's always full of people. The service is poor but you get what you pay for.
