This place is miles ahead of anything else in the city. They take pride in what they do and the wait for coffee is worth every minute. Not the cheapest in town, but the standard is so much better that those extra few coins make no difference. Great job boys, you deserve the credit you get.

I work around the corner and I can not get through the day without a coffee from Mecca, neither can any of my work mates. It is the best coffee in the city! The only problem is that I am always so disappointed on the weekend when I go to other cafe's and experience poor tasting coffee that takes forever to make it.

Amazing coffee. Average food. Excellent, informative service. Will be back for more double ristretto's. $3.50 slightly expensive for double ristretto.

My favourite cafe in the CBD. I go here every morning for a coffee, all staff are friendly and remember how I like my coffee. The atmosphere is great. Best of all they only charge $3.00 for a regular coffee. It seems many cafes in the city have no hestitation to charge upwards of $3.80 for coffee.

The name is very well suited as it is the 'Mecca' for great coffee in the CBD. I'm a regular and also an addict. The long blacks are perfect! Very smooth, no bitter after taste. The service is also top notch. Friendly baristas not to mention really really ridiculously good looking! Especially Alex (aka 'The hottness') who is a former male model which explains the strutting! Don't hate them just because they're beautiful. Keep the good coffee and work up boys!

Alot of hype for this place so I had to visit, I think these guys forgot that they were serving espresso, and not strutting the latest Gucci threads at Milan fashion week. Coffee wasn't as good as I thought it would be, quite bitter and unusual after taste but gives a kick. Outstanding decor and feel inside though and the buzz of customers creates the hype, I'll give it another shot next time.

It's very hard to find a great cup of coffee inside the Sydney CBD, in fact, I think Mecca is the only one. You can try coffees at Chrysler, Sydney Hilton Hotel, and Bacio in QVB, these places makes good coffee but not great enough to say 'more please'.

Best coffee in the cbd! shots are pulled brilliantly and the baristas are always keen to chat when its not busy. Personal favorite is the syphon brew. The taste is an excellent contrast to espresso when you feel like a change.
