I have walked past this restaurant many times and didn't think much of it until I was invited to lunch there with a few work colleagues. Stepping inside the interior is clean, Bright and feels like a fine dining restaurant. Service is professional and it got busy with corporate diners out for lunch. Portions are generous and there is variety on the menu to please everyone. I enjoyed my salmon and the white chocolate cheesecake was a delicious way to end the meal.

A very enjoyable meal. Extensive menu with lots of choice. A bit high pricewise.

Couldn't have done any more for us, even opening early in the evening as we had a show to go to. Had the set menu, just great, Thanks Tim.

I agree with the review below. Service was amazing, they even scraped little crumbs off the table before serving the next dish. A little overpriced but the serving size is huge and the decoration and ambience beautiful!

Excellent service, a little overpriced but delicious. The King Prawn Entree delicious and the Creme Brulee rocked.

Came here with 9 friends for a catch-up dinner. We ordered most of what was on the menu and found that the quality of the food was rather varied. The entrees (calamari, prawns, mussels, garlic bread, fish, asparagus flowers) were of very ordinary standard and were all very oily. However, the beef, duck and lamb mains were very good but the portion sizes were quite big.

Desserts were ok and the wine menu was extensive and the waiter was helpful in choosing a complementing wine with our meal. So overall above average food (but not fantastic), pleasant atmosphere and little value for money. There are better places for italian in Sydney.

Went to dinner here with work collegues-an Italian restaurant with Greek staff so it is no surprise that the emphasis was on fresh seafood and attentive service. We started off with Tasmanian Pacific 'St Helen's' oysters, simply beautiful, salmon capparchio with capers and a hint of chilli and olive oil was very tasty, the haloumi with asparagus was light enough to allow us to look forward to our mains.

The menu was extensive with pastas, chicken, meat and veal dishes but we all continued with the seafood theme. I had the special silver dory with med veg (eggplant, zucchini) all lightly grilled with a sliver of basil pesto sauce, the size was very generous and I couldn't eat it all but it was certainly tasty! My boss and co had the whiting and flathead, all with crispy fluffy batter and a decent serving of chips.

Throughout the night we all received attentive service and the 'right' choice of wine was continually offered. It would appear though that their main form of clientele comes from the business lunches as the place was surprisingly sparse for a Friday night. If the owners want to bring in more of the Weekend night trade, perhaps, they can work on making the place feel more warm and intimate by offering some darker interior colours and mood lighting.

Overall, however, for a business dinner (or lunch) would highly recommend, Mazzaro may not have the glamour and seduction of the harbour and city lights, but it makes up for with fresh tasty ingredients and excellent service.

I have dined here a couple of times and I always relish the food. The menu is innovative, the produce top class, the service impeccable and the servings a decent size. Whilst it attracts the business lunch crowd, I would still recommend it for those looking for a lovely meal when in Sydney. Highly recommended.

This is a place that is favoured by where I work for business lunches, so when we turn up, they turn on the charm. I found the service quite good - very attentive (but without being over the top) and it was consistent throughout the duration of the meal.

The ambience is definitely lacking - cold and clinical, there is nothing warm or interesting about the restaurant at all. Food wise, it is quite pricey, looking at $20 for entrees and $30 for mains. All up, for four people, we had two bottles of wine, no entrees, four mains, and two desserts to share and it came to almost $300, which is Definitely too much to pay. It is unlikely that I'll be back - the food was nice, but not so spectacular as to justify the price.
