I love this cafe! it is undoubtedly the best cafe I have been to in Sydney. I only go for breakfast though. The Breakfast is great, fresh and delicious. Love the Chilli Hot Chocolate! The service is also friendly and polite.
I eat at Mash quite often, but to me their breakfasts are the best. There is nothing I enjoy more than picking up the sunday paper on sunday morning and strolling into Mash for one of their awesome breakfasts. Not to mention combining it with one of there superb coffees. Both the food and staff are great.
I'm a local and have been going to Mash for coffee since it opened, but never for lunch and I won't be going back! Both meals that our table had were very small and the meat in both was pretty gross. Probably still go back for the coffee cause it is yummy but I will never eat there again!
Mash Cafe is my favorite place to go where I don't need to complain about anything. The food is wonderful and the coffee is great, all the staff are very nice, friendly and want to help. If you are sick of going out for dinner lunch or breakfast and are over complaining, go to Mash, its a breath of fresh air.
I stumbled across this cafe a year ago and have now become a regular. All the staff know me and I walk in every time to a friendly greeting. They use Morgans coffee which has a beautifully rich flavour and is always beautifully texturised. The place emits a cozy and relaxed feeling, I love that their food is organic and the coffee fair trade. All in all I love going there and have been recommending them to all my friends.
I am a regular at Mash that enjoys friendly faces every time I visit. Beautiful location with lovely outdoor seating, but be quick to get a good spot! Food is consistent and always tasty, coffee is perfectly texturised as I am a barista and enjoy good coffee, Mash is the place to go for a friendly hello and a fresh start to the day.
We have been to this restaurant many times both for lunch and dinner. We both agree that every time gets better and better. I have recommended this restaurant to a number of my friends and workmates and they have all been impressed. If you do not visit for the food at least come for the very well made coffee.
On our way up the mountain to Katoomba for a one-night getaway, we decided to stop in glenbrook for a little something, we ordered a sharing plate that had chorizo, warm olives, turkish bread and dips and for $12 it was a very generous serving! to compliment this we ordered a bottle of the Giant Steps Merlot, which if you like a merlot you will love Giant Steps.
At one stage the owner even sat down with us to have a glass of her own saying it was her favourite red wine on the list. It was great to enjoy yummy nibbles and a fantastic wine in a cosey corner near the fire! Our mash experience was so good in fact that on our way back from katoomba the next morning we popped in to try their eggs benedict and I'm glad we did, the hollandaise was perfection, thanks mash!
Great food, Amazing coffee, and perfect service! Mash recently won the Restaurant and Catering award for Best Cafe/Restaurant 2009 in the Western Sydney area. Their service lives up to this award!
I ordered Bacon and Scrambled Eggs on Toast, w/Tomato, Baked Beans. The food came out within 10 minutes, and the serving was really big. The coffee tasted amazing, and was out within 5 minutes, at the perfect temperature, with latte art. This is the best Breakfast and Coffee I have experienced at a restaurant in the blue mountains. I would highly recommend having breakfast or lunch here.
This cafe/restaurant is terrible. I have been there several times for both brunch and dinner and am constantly disappointed. The food is average at best and lacks flavour and creativity. The coffee is bad to begin with (cheap fair trade dirt-beans) and the barista can't texturise milk nor extract a decent ristretto to save themselves.
The service is scattered and painfully slow. Value for money, need I continue?
This place used to be ok (I must stress: "just ok") but something has tipped it over the edge.
