I have been to Mash a number of lunch, breakfast, dinner. It ticks all the boxes, very relaxed village feel to the place, the mainly young staff are very pleasing and attentive. It is one of the small number of cafe's/restaurants that you can always get something different and not just a burger and chips on a plate. The tasting plates when they are on are worth a trip out.

This is one of Glenbrook's best cafes. Excellent coffee however, I usually come here for breakfast and have poached eggs on sourdough. It is delicious but the portion sizes are too small. Recommended to go to, nice to sit outside next to the grass on a Sunday. The lindt chocolate mini dome cakes they have are delicious!

We really love coming to mash, the staff here are always friendly and welcoming the food is different which is a breath of fresh air compared to the normal man sized steak and chips offerings around the penrith region! The dinner portions are a perfect size so you can fit in 3 courses, Mash just also won the Savour australia award for best cafe/restaurant in the blue mountains region - so they must be doing something right!
The coffee is great. Breakfasts here are to die for also. We find the prices reasonable when you consider a meal at a pub these days can be in the high $20`s, so for a few more bucks you get some nice food prepared with more care that isn't subsidised by pokie machines and you get some service to boot. I would suggest Mash is not for kids at night, they are best off here at breakfast or lunch as the dinner menu is a bit different and probably not for young palates!
Oh and I love the quirky fun artworks on the walls also!

This place is seriously overrated. I've been there twice now. The first time I got a chicken burger which was so dry. It came with fat chips that weren't cooked properly and still raw in the middle. I still went back again and had another bad meal - this time the pancakes. They come with sauce on the top pancake but after that you're eating plain pancakes with nothing on them. The service was bad too. I just wanted yoghurt and fruit and despite both these two items being on the menu for some reason the waitress did not think they could do it. She said she would ask the Chef but never got back to me after that. They actually couldn't even swap fried eggs for poached (?). We also ordered hot drinks but both came out luke warm at best. Won't be going back a third time.

Meals are incredibly tiny and expensive ($30+ with no sides, you have to pay extra $10 for vegetables or salad), not the greatest food either. We left hungry! The wait staff were inexperienced and the restaurant was unwilling to cater for food for our children. It was plainly obvious they only wanted to make money from us.
As for ambience, the building is nice and enticing from the outside (that's what got us back there for our second bad experience) but inside it's not comfortable. Don't go there, for what you receive it's incredibly poor value.

The restaurant was recommended, looking forward to an enjoyable night out but nothing on the entree menu was enticing, garlic bread was ok, main meal was tasteless, so didn't stay for dessert. Will not be back.

Mash,My brother gave me a recommendation to this Restaurant, been there twice for dinner and once for lunch. Situated in the fantastic location of the beautiful Glenbrook village this Cafe/Restaurant is hot!
Every single time we have dined at Mash all three courses have been delish which we find very rare these days. Entrees, from the prawns in Dhakkuk,to the Sushi to the Stuffed Zucchini flowers all our 4 entrees were divine.
Mains-I had the Slow roasted corn fed chicken breasts with rosemary and garlic, very succulent and the rosemary complemented the chook perfectly,my fellow diners went for the Beef cheek which he said was perfect and looked every bit as nice and the ladies ordered the eggplant with herbs and pine nuts and they raved about it.
Desserts-Once again all were superb.
Mash has become our favourite local haunt, for 4 people eating 3 courses each, plus breads and coffee couple of cokes and lemon lime and bitters and we took our own wine the total cost for our table including corkage was $260.00 which we thought was good value for the service and the outstanding quality of food we were served.
Keep up, the great work ladies.

We went to Mash last night for a romantic dinner with our new baby and it was such a lovely night. The food is so different and delicious, and the coffee and cakes are amazing. The service was great, very friendly and professional. Would recommend Mash to anyone wanting an intimate and relaxing dining experience.

We stop in regularly for lunch which has been fine up until now. Both our meals were terrible, burger was dry and tasted bad (white bread bun!) , chips were soggy.
My partner ordered the eggplant which had zero taste was uncooked and had minimal goats cheese on it. The cafe immediately defended themselves by saying they would have done something if we had complained before eating the meals (I ate half the burger and could not continue before sending it back and my wife left a few slices of eggplant on her plate) they offered us two free coffees next time, but there will not be a next time. $43 for 2 bad meals and 2 weak coffees, we will not be back.

Best bacon and eggs you will find in Sydney. Eggs always poached to perfection, coffee is high quality. We are regulars here and the breakfast always delights us. Lunch is mediocre, but go for brekkie! Staff friendly and prompt.
