Awesome place to just chill out and relax. Friendly staff make you feel comfortable and welcome. A bit eclectic which is one of the many reasons why I love it there. Highly recommend-hot apple cider, irish rose and amazing pecan tart.

Wonderful live performances on a regular basis. Free wi-fi (always a bonus), board games, books/magazines to read and you can always have a conversation with staff members who are happy and relaxed like the customers(which to me shows a good employer). It's totally my home away from home, love it!

One of my favourite alternative venues, especially in the western suburbs. It's a hub for local art, and supports plenty of local music acts, and displays visual works from local artists, young and old.

The coffee here is great, and plenty of in-house variations to keep things interesting, such as the De Minte - an iced coffee with a mint slice - Yum! The food here is alright, it's nothing special but certainly not bad either, and there are plenty of vegetarian options for the herbivores out there.

It's really a great place to hang out and spend time with friends, or to get to know new ones. A refreshing change to the increasingly sterile Church street scene.

We had a great time last night. It was quiet and relaxing. The Cafe has some amazing spaces, I quite happily relaxed listening to music upstairs, looked at art and then drew on the wall with chalk in another room. It was great.

The food selection was very limited and predominantly Mexican (my fav) was delicious, although we had ordered a special of the day of Chicken Schnitzel that came with chips and when delivered the staff advised they had sold out of chips so it came just as the schnitzel on the plate, when asked the staff then did offer to get us wedges instead.

The dessert selection was awesome and were to die for, The Hot Chocolates were luke warm and super sweet. We were not hurried or pressured to be anywhere other than there. What a great place with community spirit, we will be back for the ambience and value alone.

I have nothing but great things to say about Mars hill cafe. The staff are lovely, the atmosphere is great and theres nothing like it anywhere else. The apple cider is to die for ! I love this place and my only suggestion would be that they open one up near my house.

Coffee is always enjoyable at mars hill, food is different but nice, had no problems with service at dinner. Something out of the norm, but always feel very welcome.

This place is amazing. If your a mildly left of centre person and you live in the western suburbs of Sydney this place is for you. They have live music stage space up stares, above that they have recording space and they train young people as cooks and buristers.

The cafe walls are basically gallery space. Every few weeks or so they have a different artist up and you can purchase the work. So yes the food is sometimes slow, sometimes odd, sometimes crazily wrong, but it an experience. If you want generic polished perfection go somewhere where they’re going to call you ‘Sir’ and lay your napkin in your lap for you so you can pretend to be pompous and made of money.

I love that I can have my vegetarian Mexican and my Irish hot apple cider at the same time as discussing the new art that's up with my partner in a place that's comfortable and never boring. If this place every moves, im going to have to move with it.

Nice little cafe situated on church street of parramatta - right next to the riverside theatre. Coffee is not bad, enjoy my usual lizard mocha (mocha with a nip of creme de menthe).

I've never had a feed here, but the food by looks look and smell pretty reasonable. The only annoying thing is the atmosphere around the place - but what do you expect it's parramatta. Usually try to enjoy my coffee with a cigarette - but with the constant cars brooming pass with their fully sick music bro, extremely annoying.

Went here for breakfast a few weeks ago and was appalled by the service. Coffee was burnt and the food took an hour to come out, and we only ordered eggs on toast! There was also only 3 other tables at the time! Do not go here for breakfast, can't comment on dinner service, but with breakfast like this I would never risk trying it.

I ordered a latte and Mars Hill breakfast. Coffee was okay but a bit cold. The breakfast took nearly half an hour to come, which was surprising as there were barely any other customers. When it finally arrived, most of the meal was lukewarm at best. Sad little cold mushrooms, lukewarm bacon and dry scrambled eggs. Small quantities for $12 too. The toast, however, was thick, warm and tasty. So they can do toast!

Food ok by Parramatta standards. Service was sloppy and the barista who gave the impression that he was in charge was positively rude and condescending. Anyone who can bring himself to 'talk down' to his customers and seems bereft of a friendly disposition should not be in a service industry. They managed to get part of the order wrong, bring out the drinks before the meal despite being asked to do so after the meal and after 3 attempts at totalling the bill still managed to overcharge.

First tally was twice and second tally 3 times what the bill should have been. There were 2 positives though, the live jazz music and the delicious warm apple cider. Wouldn't mind going back for more but can't risk another barista put down.
