Welcome to "a mystical Indian food experience."
A true reflection of Bollywood in Sydney. You're never too far to experience the truly Indian party atmosphere created for your enjoyment at Mantra Indian restaurant, Ryde.
We specialise in great food, great entertainment and casual dining. The decor of all three of our restaurants are bathed in all things Indian and include bling covered cushion rooms for private dining, as well as more conventional dining tables. In fact, many of our diners compare dining with us to dining in an Indian Bazaar.
The Setting
Mantra Indian restaurant is a riot of colours and cascading swathes of curtains finishing it off with various types of chandeliers. As the night progresses, the drum beats start thundering and out come the Belly Dancers.
Bollywood Nights
On Fridays and Saturdays we stage Bollywood nights, where the tables are cleared away and it's down to some serious partying featuring Indian DJs, loud music and plenty of dancing into the night. We feature Bollywood or Belly dancers alternatively.
Functions and Parties
We are the perfect venue for your next party, corporate event or special occasion. Phone us for more details.

The restaurant management was not aware of the coupon deal. Very poor service. Felt like unwanted and unexpected customer. Food was not served as per agreed deal and was not up to the mark. Overall worst experience.

Lightness & refinement are the hallmarks of the ‘incredible’ fare on offer at Mantra Indian, & the food remains a world away from most similar Asian renditions. Full marks, too, for the appetisers & sides: miniature poppadoms with a trio of chutneys make terrific pre-dinner nibbles, & the naans are the lightest & fluffiest we’ve tried. The decor with the theme of Indian Weddings gives colours to the restaurant, which reflects the happy times and joyful culture.
From my previous visits to Indian restaurant I can say that this one is totally different either food or quality or service or the interior. The quality of food in Mantra is really healthy and pure specially the chicken biriyani so amazing.Even they not using any artificial thing in currys like colour or thicken cream. I am so glad to write feedback about them because they deserve it. Thank you.

I just came from this restaurant. The service was awful. None of the staff smiled at me and my husband and the only waitress there was at one point sitting on top of one of the tables having a lassi. Food portion was so small and we got a huge bill at the end of it all. Not happy.

This is one of those restaurants I've always driven by but only after many years of seeing it from the outside, we ventured inf for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I was delighted in every sense, the restaurant is visually pleasing (I love all things Bollywood, so many gorgeous colours) the service is attentive without being in your face and most importantly the food was extremely delicious! We tried a couple of old favourites as well as a couple of new dishes we'd not heard of before, which can be risky but the flavours were phenonenal! Well worth the wait. The entertainment (a belly dancer) added to the atmosphere as well.

I went to Mantra last Saturday to celebrate my friend's birthday. The interior design amazed my friends as they seen such restaurant for the first time. The food are irresistible and you will ask for more. The waitstaff often come over to check our needs. The dance floor and the belly dancer totally make our night awesome. We really enjoyed our present there. I will sure recommend Mantra to others. Keep it up Mantra.

One of the best restaurant I ever visited. Everything is perfect and we had so much fun together. I went there with my friends and family. We organize a small party with our whole family and food was awesome. The kulfi was perfect. Never taste it before like the mantra. Very good and keep it up.

We gave this place a try since our favorite in Gladesville, Jaipur Bizarre shut down sadly. It was Ok but it won't become our replacement unfortunately.
Its a dimlit rambling place which they have gone to some trouble to deck out in Bollywood style. Unfortunately, this means that table service is not quite up there with attentive intimate bistros but I would say our waiter tried hard enough. He just wasn't in our nook of the restaurant that often. We were there on a quiet night. We order curries. They were nicely cooked and were of modest though reasonable size in brass bowls.
From memory they were about $17 each {non-seafood) and are really a serving for one. They are rich so the serving is probably about right. Rice was not so well planned. The menu listed rice as a per person charge. The rice arrived in a bowl of the size of a soup for one. We needed to run off to the kitchen ourselves for two refills (3 of these bowls) to have with our curries and we had naan too!
Based on the per person charge and so many refills we were looking at $27 for rice (3 bowls times 3 persons times $3)! I was a little stressed that they might charge us in this way. Fortunately, they did not and we received the standard per person rice charge of $9 but the worry about did detract from our meal.
We had an entertainment book voucher and were hoping for a cheap meal. It was still over $50 for curries, rice, naan and corkage for three with the voucher so, particularly without a voucher or not using their Tuesday half price deal, this place does not present attractive value for us.

I went to the Mantra Indian restaurant on Saturday to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary. The decoration of the place was abit odd the light was extremely dull. We couldn't see what we were eating.
The service was terrible. No1 came to our table to take our order we had to call them over all the tym. The food was ok but I have tried better at other places. The entrees that we were served were cold even though we waited 45 minZ for it. The belly dancing was good maybe that was the only good thing that was there.
Overall I won't be recommending this restaurant too anyone. And I won't be coming back Eva.

My friend and I went on Saturday night with a voucher and had a great time. It's the second time I had been to Mantra and loved it again. My brother, who isn't much of an Indian cuisine eater, even loves eating at this place. For what we paid, we got so much food, and we were given the option to take home what was left. The belly dancers were very entertaining, though they only performed for around 15 minutes, which seemed a bit short. The venue was very busy and there were a few Indian families there, which is always a good sign.
