Terrible! Went here for a birthday with an $80 set menu. Entree was a share plate consisting of (and sharing between 4 people may I add) 2 tiny arancini balls, one sliver of smoked trout, 4-5 mini tentacles of skid and a little prosciutto. We had to ask for bread which the other tables had. I sent my main back as did others on the table and dessert tasted like washing up liquid with serving sizes much like the entree.
The staff were rude and unattentive and would dump a plate down without even bothering to explain what we were eating. Will never go back and will never recommend to my friends.

Second time visiting, had a great time on the first visit for my birthday. Difference was, we paid full price and ordered lobster the first time, and on the second time we decided to use the entertainment card and on seeing their note at the bottom of the menu about the citibank dining, asked for the complimentary bottle of wine.
We were not advised until time of payment that the two cannot be used together. That term was not stated anywhere on their menu or nxt to where they state they participate in the citibank dining program.
It would have been nice to advise that it is more worthwhile to use the citibank as opposed to entertainment as the wine costed $70 a bottle but the card would only allow a max of $50 taken off the bill. We were not advised and when asking, was met by a very rude senior staff who said its not her job to tell me which is the best to use.
Overall I enjoy the food and the atmosphere there, its very relaxing by the water. But the second visit was ruined in the end by a senior staff who insists on arguing with the customer over an issue that could be resolved easily should they tell the customer upfront that eventhough they say they participate in both the citibank dining and entertainment book programs, the two cannot be used together.
If the customer was not aware, then politely suggest to them which is the better value on payment as opposed to arguing its not part of their job. If the customer did not notice there is a 10% surcharge on sunday, instead of an abrupt "of course there is" she could politely point out it states at the very last page of the menu at the very bottom underneath the cheeses section in small italic print.
Rating of 6/10 for service because the waiter was reasonable and even offered to give us the rest of the wine to take home, but only after we slipped him a tip off the side of the 10% already charged onto the bill.
Lots of terms and conditions which are unstated. Would have been happy to accept their conditions should they be explained in a less hostile manner. Nice restaurant but, unfortunately, I will not be back.

Came here for dinner last Saturday with my wife. Were seated outside, luckily the beautiful weather in Sydney wasn't ruined by the rain projected. Wife ordered Scallops and I ordered the octopus salad for entree, both delicious and cooked perfect.
For Main, my wife had Eye Fillet, Wow @ $58 pretty expensive but in the end worth it, I had Wagyu Rib Eye Roast Bone Off Marble 9+ Medium Rare, OMG, every bite melted in the mouth, unfortunately, it was only 220gr, though $13 less than the Eye fillet, this cut is not on the menu on the website. Angel Chips were only Ok at best.
Dessert was pretty nice, textures of amedei dark chocolate and piemonte hazelnut, very rich tasting and strawberry and vanilla slice, cracked black pepper and strawberry sorbet, was refreshingly sweet, for the rest of evening I couldn't get the wagyu out of my head. Compliments to the chef and the service from our waiter.

Dined here on Boxing Day with my family. Was a lovely day which made the view from this restaurant extra special.
Everyone at our table went for 3 courses, I personally had the scallops which were fresh and cooked beautifully, but what more can you expect from a seafood restaurant on Woolloomooloo Wharf? The rest of the meals (mains & deserts) where presented with high standards and cooked beautifully. Having said all this, the meals had no vibrance, no extraordinary quality whether it be taste or originality. Precisely what our meals lacked was the wow factor that turned our day into to something very memorable.
The service was very very professional however and the wines that were suggested matched our meals perfectly, nice touch!
If you are looking for somewhere that will provide somewhat old fashioned high class service with decent food and a great view this place is for you, but if you what that memorable wow factor experience keep looking!

Dined here last night and was very impressed. I had the scallop entree which were cooked perfectly. My main was the reef fish and it was steamed to silky perfection. Ordered the truffle hand cut chips too and loved that too. My partner had the octopus entree and steak and both dishes were exceuted beautifully too. Why doesn't this place have a hat? It just goes to show how much politics and rubbish is behind that award. Well done Manta.

We had a table of 6 people for dinner. Excellent table looking across the water. The food was very good quality, we all had steaks and they were cooked perfectly. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. I would note that the wine waiter was not friendly and completely disinterested in us, even when purchasing some very expensive bottles. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a romantic dinner, or for a group for a special occasion. I will go back!

Nice location, above average food, but overpriced for Sydney with over familiar service. This place charges tourist prices for a very basic menu given the prices. It does have a separate vegetarian menu but its not very inspiring. Better value food can be had in Newtown and Leichhardt, just not with the view! The service was a little embarrassing. We were seated an hour late and the waiter was too familiar for the restaurant style. He also stated they had run out of crusteaceans, but that was one reason for choosing the place and they kept us waiting. Sort of place where you get the impression they don't need to make an effort, so don't really care. Sorry Manta.

Had a booking for Saturday lunch with my partner. The food was great, the location was perfect and the guys serving the table were very attentive and friendly. We had a lovely relaxing meal. One fly in the ointment though: the service at the entrance. The hostess left us waiting at the door for a good 5 minutes. No sense of "I'll be with you in a minute" and no apologies for the wait afterwards either. Very rude! Customer service should be taken seriously.
