We had breakfast last Sunday and to say it is a perfect location is to undervalue it. The service was excellent (our waitress was probably one of the most charming and attentive I have encountered in over 40 years of dining out!!!)
The food was good. I had the Tuscan eggs which were unusual (done in an Italian tomato napolitana type sauce which was good quality). We will go back to try the lunch menu. Pity about the toilets but that's Manly Councils poor effort not the restaurant.
After a terrible breakfast experience at Whitewater, we ended up here. What a find! Our guests described it as, 'the best breakfast we have ever had'. I agree. We keep going to try other places for brekkie in Manly, and surrounding but we keep ending up here because the food is consistently good. We've now had 3 brekkies here of varying sized groups. We've alos had good reports from family members on the lunch. Well done, keep it up, it's the locals that'll keep you in business throughout the winter!
Went for brunch. They had my favourite dish, french toast with bacon and maple syrup (a common brunch dish in Manly). Coffee was great. The service was excellent, they were friendly, checked regularly whether we needed any water or drinks top up, and asking if we were happy with our food. View was spectacular. You have to get in quick to get a table at the front near the ocean, but you can still see perfectly regardless. Highly recommended for brunch!!!
The location is spectacular and really that's what attracted us to try it out for lunch on a Sunday. The meals were good although if you're after a big feed, be sure to order some sides. Although the fish and chips was perfect, the service was a little lack lustre and at times laboured.
The toilet situation is the biggest put-off, particularly on a Sunday afternoon after the beach and promenade has been full of tourists. All in all it was an enjoyable afternoon and I will definitely be going back to try it for breakfast but will hold off on dinner until they can come up with an alternative to using public toilets!
Had lunch here yesterday. Food was lovely. Both had the blue eye cod with risotto (on the side, which was fab). The wine list is OK.
The service started out pretty good, but then asked for water and got a "Yeah OK" like I had said something to offend. Don't know what that was about!! Didn't try out the toilets (thank goodness) held on and went to the pub across the road.
