I tried more than 30 thai restaurants in Sydney. This one is the best.

Here the reasons why you try this gem: thai chefs and waiters, products are extremely fresh and imported directly from thailand. The dishes are creative and extremely tasty. Prices are ridiculously cheap for this quality.

I found this restaurant 2 years ago when it was not well-known and they remain steady in the quality they deliver. The only downside is the noise, but remember you are eating in an hallway between shops.

So bring the friend who claims he knows the best of the best of Sydney and surprise him!

We have been here too many times to count and it is always sensational. Betel leaves - check. Banana flower salad - check. Everything else is great as well. Love love love. Simple, honest cooking at good prices.

Had a quick meal here on Sunday night and we were really impressed. I was getting sick of seeing the same old dishes on every Thai menu, so it was a surprise to see new and interesting dishes on this menu. Every dish we had was cooked with love and the flavours were great. This is certainly not your generic Thai joint. Enjoy!

We trawled through reviews as wanted to go for a nice Thai meal in Manly (travelling from Crows Nest) and, after having experienced the disappointing service and overpriced food in many of the places/tourist traps in Manly, came across Manly Thai Gourmet. Wow! We were impressed!

Ok, the other reviews are right in that it's not exactly a romantic setting, but the food is truly inspirational and fantastic! A few old favourites on the menu for those who know what they like, but we tried the Mango Duck (divine!) and the Heavenly Beef (heavenly!) and this from people who normally stick with green/panang curry!

The staff were incredibly friendly, the food was well priced and delicious and we will regularly travel to come here.

My friends and I have been coming here since day one pretty much, and the service and food quality have been consistently good the whole time. Best Thai food I've ever had in Sydney. Very unpretentious environment (unlike certain other Thai restaurants which shall remain nameless...) and very good service.

Book in advance on the weekend as it's always humming now. The Banana Leaf Chicken Salad and The Soft Shell Crab are both amazing, as are the Betel Leaf entrees. The food is usually 'Thai spicy' as opposed to 'Australian Spicy' which earns big points as far as I'm concerned. Nothing to fault here, I like that it's crowded and noisy, I like that you can hear your food sizzling, and I like that Sam and the staff are always smiling no matter how hectic things are. Highly recommended for a reason.

My husband and I went here for dinner last saturday and couldn't fault it. The service was quick and friendly and the food was fantastic and well priced. Old favs like chicken satay and curry puffs were the best I've had in a long time!

Very fresh food with good service. Have been eating here regularly over the last three months after having a couple of less than average meals at Yok Thai. (Previously our favourite local Thai). This is our new favourite "local Thai".

I was going to take a group of friends to Yok Thai for a Friday night eat out but having seen the reviews and been in too many over crowded, over loud, under serviced eateries in Manly, I checked the ratings list of eatability.com.au and quickly booked at Manly Thai Gourment.

I wisely took the advice of another reviewer by asking for inside seats being Winter. These are high tables with stools which may not suit everyone but worked for us. We ordered a range of meals making sure to include the banana flower salad, mango duck and Barramundi. Gluten free options are available once you have spoken to the right waiter.

Everyone was more than happy with their meals the great value. As others have said this is more of a cafe that spills out into the walkway so not a lot of ambience but a hell of a lot of great food and good value. We had takeaway from here a month later and were impressed all over again.
