Considering this was the first time I had ever had Indian, I was pleasantly surprised. As we went in a group, all entrees were ordered by a friend (10 in total) and they were absolutely beautiful! Really loved the butter chicken and curry prawns! Will definitely return!
Excellent lamb, great spicey salad, excellent service, good solid all round Indian restaurant. For some reasons doesnt seem to get the acclaim locally.
This is an exceptional local Indian Restaurant for Sydney. If you are English and missing good Indian food this is the place to come. The Lamb cutlets are to die for and the Kashmiri Nan (peshawari to most people) is great. The butter chicken is very tasty but is more like the chicken Tika Masala I have eaten at other places. A tip if you like your food that bit hotter, ask the waiter and they will prepare it with a bit more spice.
The only Indian restaurant that compares with Manjits 'for this price range is Blue Ginger on Blues Point Rd McMahons Point.
We had our second visit recently. The formally-attired staff and white table cloths provide a somewhat upmarket feel in comparison to other Indian restaurants. The food is very good and with BYO. Manjit's offers good value for money.
I had my wedding reception here - possibly the only people ever to do so! It's gone a little downhill over the years and the ambience is nowhere near as buzzy as it used to be but they still serve up good, honest Indian food at reasonable prices. The food at Manjits tends to be a little more subtle.
