Been awhile since I have eaten here and it has gone downhill. Service exceptionally slow, 1 hour from ordering till first food turned up.

They did bring the boiled rice immediately after ordering though. Sadly it was stone cold when the real food turned up. We asked for fresh rice and they just put hot rice over the cold stuff and re-served it!

Half way through our mains we decided to get more fried rice. It never arrived. When we brought it to their attention no apologies, nothing.

Whole place has a couldn't care less attitude. Never again.

I'm Chinese and love Asian foods of all kinds. Just rating the food: Average Australian/Chinese.

Was passing through and stopped for a quick Saturday lunch. Cheap lunch specials, had the Sweet and Sour Pork and Vegetable Chow Mein. Well cooked and not overly salty or sickly sweet. Generous servings. May not suit those expecting a more Cantonese style cuisine or fine dining experience. But it is great for lunch in a hurry and for those wanting to escape the madness of Westfield's Miranda just across the road.

This may be one of the best Chinese restaurants I have visited. It is set out nicely and full of yellow and red themed colors. The food was lovely. I ordered chili beef with steamed rice and I was satisfied. The service was great! They have nice, smiling waiters. I haven't visited this restaurant in a while but I will surely visit again soon!

On the recommendation of parents whom live in Miranda, we decided to celebrate a family members birthday party at Man Lin Wah. This Chinese restaurant is typical of those anywhere in Sydney that have been around forever. Decor of the restaurant is very 70's and could probably do with some work. The biggest let down was the food.

Unfortunately, 2 dishes had to be returned, both because they tasted awful. One of the dishes was plum pork and the other was the lemon chicken. I'm really not sure what the problem was but these 2 dishes were way off the mark. Judging by the fairly high rating, we obviously picked a bad day to eat here. On the plus side, the waiter was very helpful in rectifying the issue. I doubt that we will go back to this restaurant.

Great old school Chinese restaurant, decor has not changed since 1980 but this place is still very popular as it pumps out good value Chinese meals. Definitely worth a go!

As a local my whole life, I virtually grew up in this restaurant and there are many reasons why we do keep coming back. Hidden above a disused Tradesman club, it's understandable why some could be a little apprehensive but the food more than makes up for the lacking ambience.

Entree's are unsurpassed. Always freshly fried, the entrees are hot, crispy and debatably the best I've had in the Shire. The three-storey prawn is amazing, and mixed entree consists of five varieties, allowing you a taster that compels you to keep on ordering.

The meals are exceptionally flavourful, the sauces are thick, and tasty without being overwhelming, and definitely authentic. If you are wanting to be impressed, Garlic King Prawns are succulent and bursting with freshness and unlike other restaurants, you get a whole lot more than a half dozen! The chef's specials prove themselves, Satay Lamb Hotpot is an honourable mention, with broccolli and a luscious sauce, and salt and pepper calamari/king prawns are delicately spices and always hot.

Staff are attentive, and will definitely remember you if you go more than once, an added bonus is that they do not hover, instead allowing you to appreciate your meals before diving in for the next round. This is the type of restaurant where you go with friends and family, you might not take a first date here, but for a reliably amazing meal, that will leave you satisfied, Man Lin Wah would be the choice for chinese in the Sutherland Shire district.

Went on a Saturday night. The place was half empty and it wasn't hard to see why. The servings were too small and they are not the cheapest Chinese restaurant around. The service was not up to scratch either, although the staff were attentive the dishes were just placed on the table without even serving any rice into our bowls. We asked for chop sticks which were left on the side of the table and not in front of us. I may sound like a whinger but sometimes it's the little things that make going out for dinner enjoyable.

After 20 years of loyalty I am sorry to say that their standards have slipped to the stage we won't be coming back. Our favourites such as Rusty Nails and Sweet and Sour Pork are now obvioisly fried in advance and are soggy and oily. We also like the Man Lin Wah Chicken but this week it was a black gluggy sauce. We have got so much viablility I suspect that their chef's change regularly and there is not standardisation between them. Love the Spring rolls though.

Great restaurant for good tasty food that's good value. Service slackened slightly when we decided on just water and no grog, but overall a good evening. Triple pork belly recommended. (despite encountering only one tough portion of meat).
