I think this place has really gone down hill lately, used to love it but now it is average and the service is not that great.

Definitely the best restaurant in Sydney - I went there for my farewell from Sydney and had a choice of any restaurant including the 5 star one's in the city - this restaurant beats any of them for food, service, ambience and value hands down. It is the only thing I miss about Sydney especially the Orichette and the quails.

We went last night and the restaurant was busy, the food was o.k however the service was a little sour compared to the previous times we have been. Overall ok night.

Even the take-away is great. Always quick - chicken livers are trerereat as is pizza bases garlic or pesto. Love comming, we go regularly.

Too bad they have to be across the road from the big feedbag - you know who I'm talking about..... Otherwise AMAZING food, can be a bit noisy when packed with people, you'd think they'd be quiter with their mouths stuffed. A+++

Open kitchens need more smiley people :-)

What a restaurant!!! It's a shame where it is, on the main road with nothing really around it. iIt has been there 5 years now and I have driven past it nearly everyday not realising it. Smallish place, staff were really welcoming and the chefs were taking their time to notice to us. Designed really well liked the whole look. The wine display was a great look. The food was unbelievable, I went with 3 others, we each had entree and main but I was told to try a pizza, so we got one between four. Wow so worth it. The figs was unusual but nice and the misto I had was well presented. Fresh. It was packed and really loud but great atmosphere. Only three chef to the whole kitchen. I haven't seen anyone move so quickly has those guys, one of them was only 17 I think he said he did the pizza. Make sure when u go in say hi to the boys most welcoming. Overall they can definitely have 10 out of 10. Thanks Mamma Barone.

Really, really nice food. The staff are approachable and friendly. Always an enjoyable night out just dont go there if you want a quiet Saturday night.

With a name like Mamma Barrone I was expecting something similar to your local pizzeria but was more than pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find ourselves in something resembling the finished product of 'Our Restaurant Rules'.

I ordered the calimari risotto with black ink liquid and felt that I was being served a delicacy from an unknown world. I was disappointed when there was nothing left on my plate. 10/10 for that one.
