I go to Maharajas Haveli often. The food is great (Kababs, Tandoori chicken, Naan) and the service is fantastic. Whenever I go there it reminds me of my country. I feel at home. Overall I get good value for my money.

Visited Saturday and was extremely busy, decided to go with one of the banquets. The food was excellent and the service was very good. We took our leftovers home and have just had it for dinner, fantastic! Good idea to book, will be returning very soon.

I went with my brother on last sat. Food was great and fresh but service was bit slow/bad. The waiter gave us the bill in the end and did not come around for few minutes, so, we put money in and gave to the counter waiter. Anyway, when started walking the other waiter goes "Excuse me, you can pay here.." I was shocked, I said check your book, I have paid. so, yeah service is not so great!

I have been going to Maharaja's Haveli for some time. Was not very happy with the service before but service now has improved. I live in Wentworthville and it is much easier to go to Harris Park but still come to Haveli as it reminds us of India.

What I noticed on my last visit to the restaurant which was on Friday (20/1/2012) that most of the female wait staffs had their hair open as in just pony tails, even if the hair was very long and one girl had her hair full open and was walking around and talking to customers at the table. This is a hospitality industry where presentation comes first and is very important but looks like Haveli only employs girls to just model with their hair open. What if some one finds hair in their food?

It started off as a good place to hang out and eat. The current situation is like any other below average Indian restaurant. Poor service and poor food. The waitering staff are good and friendly (with some excetions) "still not to be blamed" but the management is worried about its catering buisness. Don't be surprised if you find that there is/are no chef available and the food is prepared by one of the poor non professional waitering staff.

They refuse to prepare something for you, but if somebody known comes up, everything is available. I have had enough, so would like to make a suggestion: don't waste your money, spoil your taste buds and further would make you avoid traditional Indian cooking.

I eat at this restaurant regularly, I find the service a little inconsistent in the past but lately I have been greeted with a lovely smile and welcome by a new staff member Tania, She knows me by name and always takes care of us. Often she is over-run with requests from the dining room as there does not appear to be any other staff about but she makes sure she sees to everyones needs.

I love the food and the atmosphere. I am now a Maharaja Havelli Member and now I get 20% off my bill and free drinks on arrival for my guests. Service is definitely improving, keep up the good work!

Was Not at all surprised by the high number of negative reviews. Like the others who have had a bitter experience, our family was terribly disappointed when we went to the Haveli on a friday night. It was quite busy and had to wait nearly 10 minutes at the counter, just to place my order!

On top of that the food was not value for money and quite expensive. We specifically requested at the time of order that one curry be mild as the kids are not used to spicy food, however, both curries were extremely hot and the kids could hardly eat any! Even the yogurt raita had lots of red chilli powder so the kids were left with nothing but roti.

We took our concern to the supervisor who ensured that they would be more careful next time, but I doubt I will ever return to this restaurant, I don't want my kids ending up hungry even after paying a huge bill!

I have only eaten here once and the service was a little half-hearted. I order here very regularly for take-away and I cannot fault it. The Duck Mouli and the Chicken Korma are outstanding favourites. Keep up the good work.

Had mixed experiences here. Went on fathers day as sawmillers nearby was fully booked. The prices are good and the ambience and decor is truly India and the fact that they have so called top quality chefs also adds to the experience. Food is a little on the pricey side as it is a sit down place. Loved the saffron rice and the cheese naan. Comes recommended.

Went to Haveli for the 3rd time and had the same poor customer service experience. Had been 1st time around march, 2011 and then back in June, 2011 but had the same experience that time but thought its just maybe busy or bad luck. But experiencing for the 3rd time, I'm now convinced its like a trend or habit for not providing proper customer service.

Staff was not all apologetic. Never bothered to ask if we were happy with the service or no. Their senior staff didn't bother to come and talk to us when we were complaining. Though food is no doubt nice but service for me is very important and that's where they have failed miserably every time. Once we finished out entrees we had to wait also an hour for our mains to be served and order wasn't even complete, few dishes were yet missing and eventually we had to cancel our naans.

My friends go to this place if you have the patience to wait for your food for 45 minutes before it arrives. One thing I noticed is that they really don't care what customers feel or think and if that's how they want to continue they shouldn't exist.
