I just love the atmosphere here and especially the pizza. I lived in Italy for 3 years and spend most of my time eating out in Sydney. This is Italy!!!!! The way Made in Italy make their pizza is the way it is supposed to be made....thin base and quality ingredients.
This is the best Italian food that I have had in Australia (and abroad for that matter). It is authentic Italian food made by authentic Italians. The pasta sauce is the way it should be, and the pizza is the way it should be.
They have not sold out by putting fruits and vegetables in their pasta and on their pizza that have no business being in pasta and on pizza. The irresistable smell as you near the front door gives away that you are about to enjoy a great meal. The fact that most of the time the place is filled with Italians is another give away. I love it.
Best beef lasagna I have ever had. My friends ordered pizza and pasta but said the pizza was too salty though the portions for all meals was good. It has more of a cafe feel to it rather than a restaurant so don't expect too much from the wait staff.
The pizza are thin and tasty, the salads are fresh and if you can get a seat is a nice outdoor venue. Easy parking, no fuss service and is a middle range cafe restaurant. What I like is that the toppings look and taste fresh and there are no funny menus with lamb on the pizza.
Best pizza I've eaten! Simple mushroom pizzas to classic capriciosa pizzas and ingredient laden Made in Italy pizzas, it's all yum! The base is thin and crispy, I can understand how the base may go a bit soggy but due to the thin base and lots of toppings.
Pasta is tasty too but I definitely go here for the pizza. Service is so-so, it really is about eating good food as opposed to a fine dining experience. The venue is small, kitchen under your nose, kitchen staff gruff and having fun. Prices are about $22 for a large pizza, two feeds two with a few slices left over. Good value for pizzas so tasty. Cannolli yum but huge. Recommended.
Happened upon this place by chance while waiting for the NRMA to come and fix the car - what a blessing the car broke down. Really fantastic pizza, definitely worth going back to now I know it's there, on a par with Dough Boys in North Bondi.
It's more of a cafe than a restaurant, and has the casual ambience and simple decor to go with that, but has a good buzz and was full of Italians when we were there. Say no more! Service fine, and value fine when the pizza is that good.
We go to the casino often then head to the local eating spots for something different. Service was slow, breathe exhaust fumes as you eat but most of all the pizza was mediocre.
