Went here with a group of 7 and I can honestly say that this is some of the most mediocre food I've tasted in the many years I've been dining on the Beverly Hills restaurant strip.

Seriously, every single dish ordered was poorly done, from the beef nachos which had the world's worst guacamole, to the chicken focaccia which was dry and tastless. The pizzas took the prize for worst though, they were drowned in the cheapest, most flavourless of cheeses and poorly constructed to boot (all the cheese on top so the topping falls off rather than sticking to the base).

Do yourself a favour and avoid their signature LuLu's pizza...it stank. I would suggest that anyone wanting a decent meal avoid this place, there are plenty of far better dining options in Beverly Hills.

27/11/2011 - we had a family lunch there today - the food was excellent and the service exceptional, Very good value for money and in no way overpriced at all. We will be raturning there in the future.

To me the NY steak which I ordered was welldone instead of medium rare which I ordered, it has also gone a bit cold and was fully covered with tomato sauce, as if they were hiding something and very hard to taste the steak itself. My fiance's veal was no better as the meat was tough and tasted exactly like my steak, covered with overly thick white sauce. However, I must say both our sides were quite good, my chips were hot and crunchy and the veggies does not taste bland at all.

As for the atmosphere the place only seated with 3 tables that night so I cannot say for sure but everyone there seem to have been there for quite some time yet it took over 30 minutes to serve our food.

Overall the experience was between okay and unimpressive, the portion was relatively large though so you'll definitely get your stomach filled. But for the price we paid I reckon you could get a better deal next door or from the next suburb at Hurstville.

What we ordered off the menu at Lulu's Cafe was not what we were served. The grilled chicken I ordered was panfried with butter flour, they used powder chilli instead of fresh chilli and the sauce was bland. Our friends ordered New York cut steak but were served up a piece of blade or round steak that looked like it was broiled the day before. The chips were tasteless, the vegies were watery and the prawns were not fresh.

Overall, tasteless and poor quality food. The only good part of our evening was the lovely waitress. Will not go back, will choose pub food instead.

After reading the mixed reviews, I was a little hesitant to check out Lulu's. However, most of the reviews seem quite positive. I have been to their patisserie across the road, which is quite good, so I thought I should give them the benefit of the doubt.

The service upon entry was quite pleasant and prompt. We were seated quickly and given menus right away. In fact the service throughout the whole experience was very good. The meals were quite ordinary, unfortunately. I ordered an "OZ Steak", which is described as a rib eye steak with onions, bacon, mushrooms and a creamy Cognac sauce. My wife had the mixed nachos (beef and beans).

I usually order a steak, as it is quite a good benchmark, I find. If they can cook a good steak, chances are the other food will be good too. However, my steak was definitely not rib eye, which is a bad start. I am sure it was round steak, or similar. It was over cooked (I ordered medium and it was well done). The chips were a bit soggy, but the vegies were ok. The sauce was quite tasteless, almost as if they forgot to season it.

I also ordered a glass of Rouge Homme, which was the best red they had on offer. Unfortunately, it was well past its best, and tasted as if the bottle had been opened about 3-4 days earlier (or more). The waitress had no problem taking the unfinished glass back, and explained on here return that it was in fact from a newly opened bottle. I ended up ordering a different wine, which was delivered without any issues. Unfortunately, it was the same as the first. I suspect that the wines have been stored in highly fluctuating temperatures.

My wife's Nachos were also pretty ordinary. She did not mind them, as her expectations were quite low to start with. To me they just did not taste right at all. There was something added that should not have been there. I just could not put my finger on it.

The ambience of the place was typical cafe style, so no problems for me there.
The highlight of the meal was the dessert. We ordered a tiramisu to share, and it was great. I would definitely come back for the tiramisu, and the other cakes too. They all looked great. I guess they should, though, as that is what they specialise in.

Went there with some friends for a birthday get together, we were very surprised to find this class of restaurant cafe in the suburb.! I advice any one with real value and taste for food to try this place.

Do not have dinner at this establishment. The food was soggy and seemed to have been pre-cooked and reheated. Seriously, you get poor value for your money. The waitress was ok and the ambience was lacking.

Went for cake and coffee before movies about a month back and quite liked it. However, disappointed that when I rang to book 15 people in for cake and coffee after a movie they were not prepared to take my booking as we were not eating a meal.

Went there with friends. Food was delicious and was served in a very timely manner. Everything came out quickly, cooked well and tasty. The service was fantastic and would recommend this place to everyone.

We ordered pizza and salads. Pizza was one of the worst I had dough was uncooked and the cheese was overbearingly thick and chewy, salad was fair.
Would not go back.
