Impressed Again! Came back here after not being for a while and the food and service still excellent!

We had bruschetta to start with which although comes on one big plate for the table oozes garlic and taste. Yummmo! The pork belly is still the "best" in Sydney and never disappoints. I would recommend coming just for this. The Turkish tasting plate full of different meats and simple vegetables.

Lukas is still a great place to enjoy a relaxed meal. I would not reccomend this restaurant for a vegetarian though as its really the meat you come here to enjoy. Its BYO with friendly service.

Our family had dinner here a few weeks ago and we were totally blown away. I was a chef at Tetsuya's in a past life and couldn't have hoped for a more enjoyable meal. The food was unbelievable and authentic, the service great, and we all left with happy and full bellies. A great casual atmosphere.

After a long break we came to Luka's again. Nothing has changed food-wise! Still lots of meat and only carrots being served for veg. But it needs to change! Less salt, I love salt but this is too much, everything is too salty. And we want more than one vegetable, just something green would be fantastic! Chips or mash, no need for both. My children also commented on the strange pictures on the walls, they didn't really like the look of Luka's and I would have to agree. Perhaps, just having the pictures on one wall and update the decor a little?

Huge portions of home-spun food and I loved it! The place got really busy on a Saturday night, mainly with a large family group of indeterminate balkan heritage, but we snuck in our order first (not that we needed to worry - as everyone seemed to be getting their food promptly).

Between 4 we shared 2 appetisers, garlic chili prawns and mixed bruschetta and we didn't need any more than that. For mains, my husband and I enjoyed our grills (lamb skewers for me, turkish mixed for him) with the carrots, mashed potatoes and old fashioned crinkly cut chips. But our friends, who had visited before, very sagely went for a few of the slow cooked specials, the pork and an absolutely humungous veal knuckle and this was where the true magic was. Tender meat that just melts in your mouth, I'll definitely be getting that next time!

Plenty of leftovers to take home and definitely no room for dessert. Prices were very reasonable for what we had, would have to agree that this is a great deal, and I haven't even tried the mid week banquet yet!

Went with friends recently and had the 5 course banquet, friendly staff, homestyle cooking, nothing flashy, but great food and plenty of it. Will be going again very soon and recommend the place to others on a budget or with kids as very welcoming.

Highly recommended! Balkan BBQ tasting plate was delicious! Friendly staff (owners?), nice home-style relaxing atmosphere, really affordable prices! Just a hidden gem.

What a great little place. Came with four other friends for the banquet deal (on tuesdays + wednesdays, I think?) and for $20 bucks each, we got an antipasto plate, garlic bread, chicken and asparagus risotto, lemon pepper fish (which was amazing), creamy mushroom steak + a delicious pumpkin crumble with icecream. Food was great, value was amazing. Service was good. Had a very enjoyable night. Will definitely come here again. Highly recommended!

Best restaurant in Sydney, wonderful staff, very accommodating and the food, amazing. If you are looking for a quiet, intimate dinner, Luka's is probably not the place for you as it can get quite noisy but that what's makes it so special. I highly recommend Luka's to everyone!

I love Luka's. It's my favourite restaurant and has been for almost a decade. I have been a loyal follower. Shopska salad and the Baulkan meat platter are fantastic! Staff are good, decor could improve, but when the food is this good you won't mind. Heaven.
