I went to Lugarno Seafood from reading these reviews. The food was fantastic, service and staff were certainly trained to make you feel as welcome as possible. This restaurant was by no means cheap however you get what you pay for and certainly no issues from us. Top Tucker and a big thank you to the staff for a wonderful experience.

Went with my hubby to try out menu before we book it for my daughter's christening, we were very impressed. Seafood platter was tasty and fresh, and the service was exceptional. Price is what you'd expect to pay for seafood and quality dining. Am going back in October for christening.

Went there on a sunday night. Must say the service was exceptional! - very polite, helpful and not arrogant or in your face staff. Ambience was beautiful. Who cares if the decor is a little outdated, you should be paying attention to your company or the waterview! Unfortunately the food was not quite top notch, nice but not exceptional. Octopus was tough, the dessert tasted like cough medicine but because we had such a nice time, we will be back. Seafood platter looked good!

Great! The food is excellent, not too pricey for good quality seafood and the service was impeccable. Definitely going back! Highly recommended!

I have been dining here for a few years now. I've always found the food to be "A grade" and the staff to be pleasant and efficient in serving us. If by chance there is a small problem Spiro or Dan (who always seem to be there) would be more than happy to fix any problem that may arise. I highly recommend for dessert a "Dan crepe" if Dan is available and is without doubt one of the highlights for our dining. It can get a little busy during special events but that's to be expected. We will be coming back for many more years to come.

I have wanted to go to Lugarno Seafood for some time but after reading some of the comments on this site, I was not sure. I finally decided to go and check it out for myself and believe that I made the right decision. The view is to die for and the food and service was exceptional.

As a starter my wife had the crab and avocado salad ($22) and I had the squid ($19). The presentation was amazing. As for mains my wife had a whole Baby snapper which was grilled to perfection ($33) and I had a 400 gram blue eye cod tail ($39) which the waiter recommended. It was the freshest piece of fish I've ever had. I found the service to friendly and professional. I can understand why some people may think that Lugarno seafood is a bit expensive but I assume that these people have not dined in many of the city restaurants. All in all; great views, great food, great service. You get what you pay for.

Went to Lugarno seafood restaurant last night and thoroughly enjoyed my seafood platter and degustation, not only did it feature a variety of seafood treats, it presents a unique quality in each dish that left me wanting more. The attention to detail by the oh-so friendly staff added to a most pleasurable night had by all. Lugarno seafood is an old favourite of mine and I will continue to dine at this exquisite restaurant time and time again. While I take into consideration the (unpleasurable) comments of other diners on this webiste, I cannot believe that what I have experienced consistently at this restaurant to be anything but great service and excellent food. Can you seriously tell my a better restaurant?

Absoultely pathetic I went for dinner last friday. Average food at fine dining prices.

The salad looked like it was from lunch time two days before. Definitely the worst seafood restaurant in Sydney. I have not and will not recommend the Lugarno to anyone who I know.

I agree with Jane below. My husband & I went for dinner last Saturday. The decor hasn't been touched since the 80s and although the service was OK, we found it to be abit rushed & pushy. It's true - they offer you many styles of cooking fish, all of which you can do at home. And it's very expensive for basically ordinary food. It's not that bad, it's just not that good and for those prices you expect your meal to be fabulous.
