A group of old friends decided to try this Restaurant and I must admit, the Laksa was out of this world! Anyone who enjoys great Thai Food, and are not fussed by the not so fancy interior of the Restaurant, will be extremely pleased with the food served here. I have never tasted such flavours in my food, they excel in taste department and it is all fresh, you can even watch the Chef prepare your food. You would have to have rocks in your head to pass this one up...

If you want good that food at a great price, this is the place. If you want to impress your date or friends then this is not the place (unless they love Thai food). The decor is very ordinary and service OK to slow during busy period. But it's well worth the wait.

So, my wife and I decided to have some take-away from Lucky Town Thai Kitchen. My wife got on the phone to them and ordered as I walked out the door. We're local and would regularly eat Lucky Town's food, either eat-in or take-away. My Siam Fried Rice was ready in its container by the time I got there and the wok operator was half way through preparing my wife's Bangkok Fried Rice.
I observed closely as the guy used a dirty little old blackened rag to wipe down the stove surrounds then half-rinsed it, splashing all over the place. He then wiped his hands on his dirty sweaty t-shirt and picked up the vegies to throw into the rice along with a hastily cracked egg. I thought to myself "such is the way of most take-away kitchens, probably, you just don’t get to see it most the time" and shrugged it off.
Half way through eating our rice at home, I notice a fly (or insect of some sort) in my food. That’s it! Never eating their food again! We called to complain and we were offered "something free" to make up for it. We weren't interested.
We put the remainder of our food back in the containers and I took them back with their menu for a refund.

I just moved to the area and this is a great place to go where you don't have to dress up and you can be yourself, I highly recommend the Pork Knuckles and Pad Thai. I have to hand it to the owner for his honesty as I dropped my wallet under the table whilst we were eating and I didn't notice it until I got home that it was missing as I paid with my bank card that i was holding.
I no sooner got home and received a phone call from a friend of mine whose phone number was in my wallet. It was the owner of the restaurant who found my wallet and wanted to get in contact with me. I had just got paid and there was round $800.00 in there. He didn't even want a tip so thanks guys.

This is my local Thai take away. My husband always complains about the place looking dirty but I like the fact you can see them cooking the food. It is not some little kitchen out the back where you don't know what they are doing. The satay is always great and full of flavour and I have eaten alot of satay. The prawns and vegetable dish is always fresh and the chicken and cahsew nuts is great.
The deep fried wonton with chicken and prawn is also really nice and does not need any sauce. The only thing I was not so happy with was the deep fried ice cream. They use the same oil they have used to cook everything else in and you can taste it. Otherwise really good but very casual dress. You are almost overdressed in jeans.

I live near this little thai joint and mostly grab take away. The place does need a bit of a refurb. It does look a bit greasy in general due to the open plan kitchen. You'll be sure to walk out towards the end of your meal smelling of smoke. The food is not too bad. I've tasted better food at other Thai restaurants.
All the ladies that work there are very friendly and nice, however, beware of the guy that works there. Twice in the past I've gone there to pay for my meal when he's been behind the counter, he had tried to short change me! Recently he tried to short change me $10 and previously $40! When I said to him, "I gave you a $20 or $50". He returns the correct amount with no apology whatsoever!
So be aware of the amount you hand over to the guy if he takes your money.

This is my local thai place. I would highly recommend it for take away and delivery. If you don't mind a dinky atmosphere then eating in is just as nice.
They have a very good pad see ew noodle and their mussaman curry is very authentic. The food is always fresh and they are very friendly and timely with delivery and pickups.

As the name suggests you eat in the kitchen which makes for great theatre and definitely shows you how fresh the meals are. Fluro lights and cheap tables but you don't go here for the decor. Great fresh food at good prices. They do the best green chicken curry here. Beautiful fresh vegetables in the curry. Take away is also available.

Lucky Town is not in an ideal position and admittedly not much to look at however, I have never had a problem with their food. It is always fresh, prepared quickly and tastes great. It is cooked in front of you and I have never encountered a mistake with the order. I would recommend the Massaman curry, green curry and the curry puffs taste great too. They must be doing something right because it is always busier than the other Thai places on this strip. Perhaps better as a takeaway meal than an eat-in one.
