I think the Lucky in the name must apply to some diners who actually get good service and food. Saturday night 7.30 booking. Issue with our table, waited 1 hour for entree which was basically salads!

The staff were inattentive and looked like they wished they were elsewhere! Food was really nothing special for the price. If you want a really great restaurant on the beaches with a good vibe/food etc, then take your chances here. You may get lucky, but then again, maybe not!

We arrived 7 pm having booked, main course served 10.30 pm, ordered 7 15 pm, little explanation. Other people arrived after us, no booking, served first. No idea why. Embarrassing as we had overseas visitors. We were offered free coffee! Not acceptable. French tourists at next table were not served when we left. Size of steaks have been reduced, price remains the same.

Great food, great service and great spot for kids! (great idea to put a massive fish tank!). I am a pizza lover, I always go there because their pizza base is just fantastic. Not too thin but very crusty and tasty. My recommendation is Vegetarian pizza with ham. I know this is a funny combination but I don't like pizza with too much meat. You will never be disappointed going this restaurant!

The food is OK, nothing out of the box. A bit expensive for some items. The service is quite slow (sometimes wait over an hour for food to be served). Although it is great with kids as the can play safely in the courtyard.

Love this place! The pizzas are perfect with a great choice of toppings and a tasty crispy base. The garlic bread and salads are fab as well. Last time I ordered a spaghetti carbonara which was a bit heavy on the cream and very yellow but apart from this every meal we have tried here has been worthy of a return visit! Not the place to go for an intimate dinner for two as its always busy but it has a great family feel and is always buzzing on the weekends. Try to fit in a gelato on the way home.

Excellent pizza's. Noisy and busy, but to be expected from a pizza restaurant. Only complaint was that I had to ask twice for the bill and it still wasn't presented, so I stood up and prepared to leave, of course the bill was then produced swiftly. I will definitely return for the pizza.

This is a fantastic place serving tasty food at reasonable prices. Waiters are patient and friendly, service is quick and food is no nonsense. BYO makes it even better value.

Since the move to a new location, next to the Newport Scout Hall. Lucky & Peps has really come of age. Good menu, reasonable service and terrific outdoor seating (traffic can be a bit noisy, though). We had the garlic prawns, a pizza napolitana (love anchovies) while our friends had a marvelous collection of dishes that left them raving. One problem though, there was no Grappa available for my Cafe Correcto, so I had to settle for Sambucca in the espresso A really good meal.
